Under general supervision, the Market Development Specialist plans programs and participates in field events to support sales growth for Shure products in targeted market segments. Trains independent sales reps on methods for repeating these programs in their geographic areas. Collects customer leads and useful feedback on Shure’s products, programs, and services. Representative Duties: Develops and executes education programs and presentations with Sales Management and Applications Engineering, to increase awareness and understanding of the benefits of Shure’s product categories.Identifies, researches, evaluates and prioritizes market leads and opportunities to reach potential customers outside of Shure’s current revenue stream.Schedules, coordinates, and conducts training sessions to educate independent sales representatives and dealer/integrators on product benefits and sales techniques. Maintains End User contact for key clients in the defined geographic region, including but not limited to, training, commissioning support and product specificationArranges technical and logistical support for conferences, seminars, clinics, and other special events,Monitors and reports on the effectiveness of education/training efforts in all markets.Monitors on-line forums as assigned and reports on items of interest to Shure.Provides support for, and input to, the Product Planners and Product Marketing Specialists on product lines. Monitors and reports on competitive activity, both from a product and market development standpoint.Develops, through outside partners, multimedia education tools to supplement face-to-face efforts.Manages departmental inventory of demo equipment and loan stock. Develop and support relationships with various government entities.Other duties as assignedRequirements: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field Minimum of 4 years of experience with a comprehensive technical knowledge of audio principles and equipment and continues developing professional expertise.Able to use professional concepts and apply company policies/procedures to work on problems/issues of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.Able to exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actionExcellent communication and presentation skillsAbility to handle multiple assignmentsUp to 20 weeks of travel annually – including some weekends - is requiredDetail oriented and well-organized; good time management skills
