The Internal Communications Specialist is responsible for supporting internal communications activities for North America. The primary focus of this job function is the effective use of communications to drive employee engagement in support of Ericsson’s strategy, culture, and brand principles.
This role is responsible for developing internal communications content that supports the region’s business objectives and initiatives. This includes writing stories for our intranet/newsletters, drafting executive emails, coordinating meetings/events, monitoring our internal social media platform, and curating reusable content and adapting it for an internal audience.
You will be a part of the Market Area North America Marketing & Communications team and will report to the Head of Internal/External Communications.
Specific responsibilities include:
*Contribute to and execute the region’s strategic internal communications plan *Draft communications that clearly and concisely articulate the intended objectives and calls to action *Ensure internal communications – regardless of channel – are consistent with the company’s brand and vision *Write news stories and create digital content *Compile and edit newsletters targeted to specific audiences (i.e. North America employees, managers, sales teams) *Support events – internal meetings, trade events, philanthropic activities – through communications tactics *Support webcasts and internal video shoots *Design basic graphics and email layouts *Identify opportunities for improvement *Act as the voice of internal communications in our internal social media platform – Yammer – helping to foster conversations and share important news *Work collaboratively with local and global Marketing & Communications in support of company-wide programs and initiatives
*Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Creative Writing, or related field *Two or more years of experience in the communications field *Experience in the ICT industry is desirable *Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading and oral presentation skills *Creative thinker with extreme attention to detail *Comfortable working in a diverse environment *Ability to manage multiple projects and work within deadlines *Highly-proficient in PowerPoint and Word *Experience driving information sharing in digital channels, including social media *Knowledge in online publishing tools *Ability to initiate and manage projects strategically as well as operationally
Position is located in Plano, TX. Local candidates preferred as there is no relocation offered for this position.
