If you are a strong communications professional with a passion for the environment, Veolia Idaho Water may be the company for you. We are looking for experts to help engage the Treasure Valley on using water wisely.
This role will be led by the Manager of Communications and Community Relations, and work closely with other department leaders, and external vendors to support the company’s various communications and marketing initiatives to help improve overall customer satisfaction. The position coordinates, administers, and communicates strategic, comprehensive, and professional communications programs that educate customers, employees and other stakeholders about company objectives, programs, and results; provides guidance, feedback and research to management.
Under minimal direction and acting on their own initiative and direction, provides complex specialized support communicating for the operations and provides school education visits and/or water treatment plant tours. Assignments involve work of a confidential nature and require knowledge of the practices and procedures of the function, company policies, and programs.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Participates in various community and civic functions
Accountable for children and adult education programs
Coordinates with department leadership to manage local website, social media and digital networks
Other activities as deemed appropriate by Corporate Communications, and/or the department leadership
Develop rich and meaningful internal communications to support local business and corporate programs and initiatives
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field OR An equivalent combination of appropriate training and experience
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field with an Associates degree is preferred
3 years of related experience OR Equivalent combination of formal education and work experience
Prefer experience using communication technologies including web, print, graphics, and AV production
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Strong writing, speaking, and presentation skills with the ability to construct and deliver compelling stories that promote the company’s objectives, brand, and employees
Strong relationship-building, networking and interpersonal skills *Knowledge of social media and web content
Working knowledge of communication technologies including web, print, graphics, and AV production
Demonstrated success in event planning and promotions
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work with and engage management and employees of all levels
