What we are looking for: \u2022 You can prepare and update media and influencer lists with fresh outlets, angles and voices.\u00a0 \u2022 You can apply strong written ability to draft research reports, social content, internal communications and media relations materials. \u2022 You can dig deep into consumer and competitive research to support with new business pitches.\u00a0 \u2022 You can assist in event coordination and logistics\u00a0 \u2022 You're curious and intrigued by what makes a brand, a piece of copy, a video, a moment memorable.\u00a0 \u2022 You want to support top brands in sharing their stories across all communications channels.\u00a0 \u2022 You like to think BIG, and want to help execute BIG ideas.\u00a0 \u2022 You would rather be busy and can manage competing deadlines in fast-paced environments.\u00a0 \u2022 You crave content and have your finger on the pulse of media\/digital\/influencer trends.\u00a0 \u2022 Your creative writing skills allow you to breakdown complex ideas into relatable ones.\u2022\u00a0Ideally, the candidate will have had previous public relations internships completed in traditional and\/or digital. \u2022 Strong organizational and time-management skills\u00a0 \u2022 Attention to details and deadlines; accuracy and thoroughness are especially important\u00a0 \u2022 Ability to understand and follow complex, detailed instructions\u00a0 \u2022 Ability to work both independently and in a team environment\u00a0 \u2022 Experience and interest in today\u2019s digital\/social media landscape\u00a0 \u2022 Enthusiastic and eager to learn; team-player with an \u201canything is possible\u201d approach\u00a0 \u2022 Professional and able to be flexible in a fast-paced, always changing environment\u00a0 \u2022 Available to work 40 hours per week\u00a0 Experience\/Skills:\u00a0 \u2022\u00a0Strong interest and experience in public relations and integrated digital campaigns and desire to pursue a career in the field\u00a0 \u2022 Excellent oral, written communications, research and presentation skills\u00a0 Educational Requirements:\u00a0 \u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree in PR, Communications or related field\u00a0 Primary Responsibilities: \u2022\u00a0Draft media relations materials \u2022\u00a0Research and maintain editorial opportunities and calendars \u2022\u00a0Scan daily, weekly, monthly and on-line publications to identify client-relevant media coverage, including competitive market and industry information, to compile daily monitoring reports \u2022\u00a0Conduct and report on media monitoring to keep us aware of client coverage and what\u2019s happening with their competitors \u2022\u00a0Draft basic materials and briefing documents \u2022\u00a0Proof and edit internal and external documents \u2022\u00a0Prepare clip reports and summaries as needed by team and client \u2022\u00a0Actively participate in agency development by volunteering to assist other staff with urgent client needs Qualifications Weber Shandwick is proud to be an Equal Opportunity\/Affirmative Action employer.
