Company is looking for a highly talented Senior Vice President of Communications (SVP). In this position you will ensure that COMPANY intentionally speaks to its chosen audiences with clarity and compel them to strategic action and long-term partnership. As SVP you will ensure that external communications is executed with unyielding precision and compliance with our legal ethical duties. You will consistently translate legal principles into engaging client stories for diverse audience. Your success in this position will reach new audiences and establish the leading voice that advocates religious freedom for everyone and the protection of life at all stages.
Your Essential Responsibilities:
In this position, you will:
Work directly with the CEO and leadership to develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy in ways that establish favorable view of COMPANY and its issues among the audiences.
Direct and design the communication message across all media channels to reach specific audiences using (1) creative video products (internal and external uses), (2) print advertisements, (3) radio messaging, (4) TV advertising and specials, (5) web and social media communications, (6) all collateral materials for use by COMPANY surrogates and supporters, and (7) media and public relations pieces.
Grow a strong professional network that maximizes media opportunities, establishes COMPANY’s credibility as a preeminent voice on its issues, expands COMPANY’s audience reach, and fosters commentary by surrogates in support of COMPANY and its advocacy objectives.
Ensure close coordination with and service to key stakeholders, which include US and International Advocacy, Development, Mobilization, and Training departments.
Ensure that all internal and external communications have been reviewed and approved through the COMPANY legal review process to confirm factual accuracy, compliance with legal ethical duties, and appropriate tone.
Act as an educator within the organization to raise awareness of communication issues and corporate strategy.
Responsible for the identifying and exploiting new communications channels and technologies, increasing the reach of COMPANY across all channels including print and digital media, and creating rich and creative content that is optimized for search engines.
Adopt and execute innovative communications techniques or technologies while maintaining consistency and timeliness of communications.
Establish metrics and gauge the effectiveness of communication initiatives.

10 years of experience in a progressively demanding position.
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
Preferred experience communicating complex and at times contentious issues to diverse audiences.
Must be a skilled editor and able to direct others to ensure the message consistently reflects the brand's stature, legal practice requirements, and that consistency of message is achieved across all communication channels.
Must anticipate technological, societal and regulatory trends and advise senior leadership accordingly.
Superior project management skills - juggling many initiatives with many complex tasks, competing priorities and across several teams.
Must foster an environment of collaboration, integrity, confidentiality, and patience - all while meeting urgent deadlines.
Commitment to working with shared leadership in cross-functional team environment.
