Job Description POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of strategic marketing and communication plans for ACM, including each of its divisions, which support the strategic goals of ACM.This leader works directly with ACM Executive Team members to develop and implement plans that support growth of new member populations, expand provider and member awareness of services, drive member activation around desired activities and improve ACM associate engagement.This role also serves as the brand leader for ACM and is responsible for leading both internal and external communication strategies, including working with ACM leaders when communicating internally and externally, public relations, crisis communications, associate engagement and thought leadership.Many of these activities include a high-level of communication and coordination with leaders across the ACM organization, as well as with local ministry and leaders across Ascension.
This role also works closely with Sales\/Business Development, Product Development and Strategy\/Solutions leadership to launch new products and services to our key audiences, including developing sales and marketing strategies and campaigns to drive leads and close sales.This position will be responsible for all aspects of managing and motivating the Marketing and Communications team, including directing and managing activities to ensure these are delivered in accordance with the organizational strategy, on time and within budget.
The Senior Director of Marketing and Communications of ACM ensures all ACM marketing and communication activities meet the Ascension brand standards and serves as the liaison with the Ascension Marketing and Communications team.
\u2022 Leadership of Marketing and Communications team, including setting the short-, mid-, and long-term goals for the department that align with and drive ACM and Ascension priorities.Coach team members to meet their set annual goals and work to remove barriers to the team\u2019s success.
\u2022 Serve as a visible ACM Leadership Team member and \u201cChief Storyteller\u201d for the organization, clearly articulating the vision, mission and plans of the organization internally and externally.
\u2022 Working with ACM Executive team, develop annual marketing plans for ACM, including division-level plans, including budget development.Manage resources to ensure goals are met on time and on budget.
\u2022 Work with VP of Business Development\/Sales(s)\/Product Development for ACM and relevant divisions to assist with developing a market segmentation plan and identifying, developing and maintaining a pipeline of new client prospects to sustain ongoing growth.
\u2022 Continually evaluate new processes, technologies and innovations that could improve the reach and efficiencies of ACM marketing to target markets.
\u2022 Manage public relations, crisis communications, and internal and external communications for ACM, coordinating with Ascension Marketing and Communications leaders when needed.Work with external media contacts, Ascension ministry contacts and external partners to cultivate meaningful relationships that drive a positive image of ACM.Serve as Spokesperson for ACM and ensure other key leaders are trained to be Spokesmen\/women for ACM.
\u2022 Ensure Ascension vision, values and marketing requirements are incorporated into ACM marketing activities.Serves as link between ACM marketing\/communications and Ascension marketing\/communications.
\u2022 Publically represent and\/or speak for ACM at community events or conferences, as needed.Support ACM Leaders as they represent ACM at events and conferences.
\u2022 Select and oversee key strategic relationships, including selecting and working with agency vendors that serve as an extension of the marketing and communications team.
\u2022 Requires up to 20% travel.
\u2022 Other duties as assigned.
\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Communications\/Marketing, Business, Healthcare or related field required.
\u2022 Master\u2019s Degree in Business, Healthcare or related field highly preferred.
\u2022 Minimum of ten years of experience in marketing, communications, PR \u2013 with an emphasis on projects that have involved healthcare, health insurance, or other health-related field.
\u2022 Minimum five years of experience supporting sales efforts\/teams of an organization highly preferred
\u2022 Minimum five years of experience working with external agencies or partners highly preferred.
\u2022 Minimum five\u00a0years of leadership of people and\/or process in a complex environment required.Leadership experience, especially of high performing senior staff in all aspects of the career lifecycle required.
