The student should possess skills related to social media, communication, marketing, and design in order to assist with managing CS social media presence. Description of Work Continued: \u00b7 Develop and maintain a comprehensive strategic plan for social media content management which includes current social media sites, incorporating the Office\u2019s mission and goals \u00b7 Meet with staff to plan and develop content, style and appearance for sites \u00b7 Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification \u00b7 Online outreach and promotion using Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn \u00b7 Assist with the coordination\/marketing of Career Services\u2019 events and other campus activities \u00b7 Consistent maintenance of CS\u2019s student involved social media pages (Facebook, other ideas) \u00b7 Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages campus and community constituents to participate in CS\u2019 campus events \u00b7 Set up and optimize CS\u2019 pages within each platform to increase the visibility of CS\u2019s social content \u00b7 Moderate all user-generated content in line with University policies \u00b7 Create editorial calendars\/deadlines for information gathering and sharing \u00b7 Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data\/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information \u00b7 Foster and collaborate with other departments across campus to develop a working relationship with student media teams, identifying key players and coordinating any actions that may be needed \u00b7 Recommend new social media tools, sites, and apps as part of the social media mix \u00b7 Report technical problems to IT support staff \u00b7 Obtain content approval from CS Director\/Assistant Director before any content is posted on any sites \u00b7 Other duties as assigned. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Undergraduate\/Graduate Student graduating December 2018 or later with experience in social media\/ communications\/public relations\/marketing\/journalism Must have experience with social media platforms (specifically, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn) Knowledge skills and abilities: \u2022Creative and collaborative with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn new and innovative approaches to social media \u2022Understand the basic principles of public relations and\/or marketing \u2022 Professionalism, including the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information \u2022Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking skills \u2022 Excellent writing, editing (photo\/video\/text), presentation and communication skills \u2022 Demonstrate social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge \u2022 Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team and be detailed oriented \u2022Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of or comfort in working online with various social media sites \u2022 Strong skills or proficiency in Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher) \u2022 Knowledge of Adobe Suite \u2022 Experience in digital communication and marketing
