The Sector Marketing and Communications Director is responsible for owning, defining and executing a cross-sectoral marketing strategy to drive JMs growth in the global pharmaceutical market, aligned to JMs corporate brand strategy.
The job holder is also responsible for the development and delivery of strategic internal communications plans to engage the Sectors employees and drive business performance.
Define and deliver JMs cross-sectoral, marketing strategy to target customers in the pharmaceutical industry and maximise the benefits to JM. Ensure plans are aligned with sector and BU strategies and with the JM Corporate brand.
Develop integrated, strategic marketing communications campaigns to position JM as a leader in the industry and drive future sales
Support all pharmaceutical industry facing JM business units and product lines to ensure JM presents a coordinated offer to the market, utilizing the full mix of channels.
Provide high impact shared marketing services to the pharma facing BUs and connect customer insights and market analytics to unlock the potential of our full portfolio and presence.
Collaborate with the relevant BUs to collect, analyse and extrapolate market research and competitive analysis. Proactively highlight emerging competitive threats and opportunities.
Participate in key industry events, liaise with industry experts to gain insight on competition
Provide guidance on the latest trends in marketing, communications and public relations
Actively monitor, analyse and report on total marketing contribution to pipeline, ROI, customer acquisition and penetration and lead generation relating to JMs activities in the pharmaceutical market.
Support Group M&A and BU leadership in target screening and assessment, due diligence, business valuation, and acquisition integration activities.
Actively engage and work with Group Corporate Communications to integrate and align marketing and communications activities, messaging and visual presence
Represent the sector on the JM Corporate Brand steering team and lead (on behalf of JM) aspects of Corporate Brand development as appropriate.
Responsible for the pharmaceutical market of the JM website. Ensure content is accurate and up to date. Create market focused content and campaigns for the site.
Develop and deliver integrated internal communications plans that engage and empower our people to deliver the Health Sector strategy and live the JM brand.
Provide guidance on internal communications to local site teams
Champion the JM Brand for the Health sector. Maintain standards and consistency and provide guidance on its application and use
Ensure strong linkages with key non-commercial functions R&D, HR, QA/Regulatory, Operations, Finance, etc.
Are you the ideal candidate?
Bachelor degree in scientific field required
Master degree preferred
Minimum 10 years progressive marketing leadership experience in the pharmaceutical industry
Ability to clearly convey concepts and strategies in verbal/written communications; able to simplify complexity and develop succinct and focused messages
Proven ability to build relationships and influence others across all levels
Excellent oral and written communication skills
