Description:\tbuild a diverse, collaborative team of IT experts\tdeliver the right IT services to the right communities from the right IT providers\tenable rapid, seamless execution of IT services\tcreate a common, robust infrastructure across the institution\tdevelop intentional design through IT governanceThe position will report to the Communications Manager within the Office of the Chief Information Officer. The Communications Manager will set goals, manage performance, and provide guidance/mentoring/collaboration.Duties/skills: \tDevelop collateral including (but not limited to) newsletter content, digital signage, email marketing, flyers, posters, articles, brochures, web content, social media content, press releases, presentations, talking points and similar items\tWrite, edit, and adapt custom messaging for identified audiences while following well planned approaches and aggressive timelines\tConduct copywriting, conceptualization, design, layout, updates to existing materials, and extensive text revisions\tCollaborate with internal technologists, project managers and campus partners on awareness campaigns and projectsRequired Qualifications: \tBachelor’s degree in a related field (Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or Public Relations) or an equivalent education and experience\tMinimum 5 years of directly related professional work experience, including creating and executing communication plan\tStrong writing skills required\tStrong knowledge of fundamental concepts, best practices and procedures of writing, communication, marketing, and public relations methods and techniques\tDemonstrated experience developing, writing, and editing original work for a variety of communications channels, both print and digital (targeted email, web, social media, slide presentations, feature articles, news releases)\tStrong sense of narrative story telling\tCritical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting\tSuccessful experience performing audience analysis to identify perceived value of products/services\tSuccessful experience providing communications consultation and support to help customers create, build and protect their reputation, products and services.\tHigh level of intellectual curiosity to gain a thorough understanding of sometimes unfamiliar concepts\tExperience in design/visual communication\tUnderstanding of basic graphic design principles\tExperience working with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, specifically Photoshop and InDesign\tUnderstanding of basic email marketing principles and development\tExperience working at an advanced level with Microsoft Office applications\tExcellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills\tExcellent organizational skills and proven ability to prioritize and multiple tasks within established and changing deadlines\tAbility to work independently and collaboratively as part of a wide variety of teams\tMust be self-motivated, flexible and easily adaptable to changing needs.
