Assistant Director of Alumni Affairs, UT Foundation','180000017Y','!*!The University of Tennessee Foundation is seeking an Assistant Director of Alumni Programs. Reporting to Assistant Vice Chancellor for Alumni Affairs, the Assistant Director will be responsible to carry out the execution of alumni programs in accordance with the initiatives of the UTHSC Office of Development and Alumni Affairs, the UTHSC Alumni Boards/Councils and the University of Tennessee Alumni Association, including strategic planning, program management, fiscal management and marketing strategies. The Assistant Director will focus on the alumni programming aimed at strengthening the UTHSC Alumni Affairs Engagement and Outreach Plan. ','!*!Education: A bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s preferred.Experience:Three or more years of experience in either marketing/communications (print and online), volunteer management or special event/alumni program management as well as budget management. 1 year of experience acceptable with a Master’s Degree. Experience in higher education preferred. Job Skills: Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and people skills), strong event planning skills, successful volunteer management, budgetary management experience and computer expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and learn iModules, ESM (contract management system) and ANDI (custom database for UT Alumni records).Proven ability to (1) manage multiple priorities and (2) handle heavy workloads, (3) to apply disciplined structuring to unstructured tasks and (4) demonstrated experience in the team concept in the workplace. Expected to frame and execute responsibilities with minimal supervision. Must be able to meet deadlines, make decisions, and interact effectively with diverse groups. The ability to work independently on numerous projects with ease, maintain a good sense of humor and efficiency.
