Your skill in communication strategy, smart content development and savvy amplification of stories that matter will connect employees to our brand and our impact. Success in this role includes smart content strategy and development, communications counsel, critical thinking skills and creative execution. And, of course, you love the outdoors. Build effective employee communication and engagement platforms to amplify major brand moments. Connect employees to our impact strategy (sustainability, philanthropy, advocacy) via inspiring content and effective communication planning. Conceptualize, write, and edit multi-media assets including PowerPoint presentations, articles, web copy, video scripts, senior leader blogs, podcasts, etc. Build strong and sustained communication strategy for major employee initiatives, fostering strong engagement and building culture. Know REI\u2019s employee audience inside and out; advocate for their needs. Represent team interests through cross divisional teams by influencing business direction, planning and creative direction; and provides leadership and networking with peer groups in key divisions. Drives operational efficiencies in all areas of responsibility to maximize the team\u2019s contribution to REI\u2019s goals. Bring your passion and expertise 5 years of experience in internal communications in a mid-to large company setting Proven exceptional communication skills in all forms. Ability to produce high quality communication counsel and clear, concise and well-presented materials under intense deadline pressures. Proven experience in strategic communication and business planning for large, complex organizations. Proven ability in working with senior executives on issues counseling, message development and presentation preparation. Demonstrated performance in communicating and shaping a strong and positive organizational brand via communications. Effectively plans and executes changes. Creates a strong, mutually supportive work spirit and culture where people can do their best. Establishes trust and inspires others. Consolidates information from various sources including feedback from others to reach sound decisions. Fosters change in company direction.
