Technical Writers
Dewberry is currently searching for highly qualified technical writer professionals.   Candidates must be U.S. Citizens and able to successfully pass a Federal background investigation which includes disclosing personal information such as criminal, credit, residential, employment, social and medical history.   Applicants with an active FEMA badge or Moderate Background Investigation (MBI) clearance are encouraged to apply.   Selected candidates must be able to travel and commit to a minimum 120-day assignment. 
Technical Writer will provide onsite and/or offsite support at a client site as directed by project needs and requirements.  Typical work assignments may include but not limited to: development and editing of strategic and operational plans; needs assessments; manuals and reports; revision of policies and procedures; communication and presentation materials; and other directives, correspondence and articles supporting the program mission.    Assist in formatting, editing and production of products for distribution. 
Required Skills & Required Experience

Bachelor\u2019s degree in English, Communications, or related field from accredited university
Minimum of six (6) years of full-time technical writing and editing experience     
Experience with technical writing duties for emergency management preferred
Excellent writing skills, with the ability to analyze, synthesize, and condense text that includes technical information that is intended for use by non-technical lay audiences
Knowledge of writing, editing and style guidelines and printing regulations of Government Printing Office
Must be able to work independently and team environment
Excellent time management skills especially when completing multiple high-quality, detail-oriented deliverables on tight timelines amid competing deadlines
Must be computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work a 40-hour/week schedule, 5 days a week
Must have a clean driving record and able to maintain a valid driver\u2019s license in order to operate a company, personal or rental vehicle
