The Retail Marketing Senior Specialist will be part of a team that will support the Regions, Market Performance Managers, Retailer Ad Groups (RAG) and Retailers in their Tier 2 & Tier 3 Marketing efforts to drive showroom traffic, leads and sales. Requests for support will come into the department and be allocated to a Specialist. The team ensures RAGs and retailers are effectively marketing our brands and products, and that the national Tier 2 & Tier 3 & Co-Op programs are effective and coordinated with our national Tier 1 activities. Be point-of-contact for regions and retailers in regard to Marketing programs, policies, vendors and budgets.
Retail Marketing Team national responsibilities include managing the following areas of responsibility:
Cross Channel Assets: Collaborate with Brand Teams and Agencies to ensure development of Tier 2 & 3 advertising assets in support of retailer objectives. Develop and execute retailer specific turnkey CRM and Digital Marketing programs.
Regional Market Planning: Lead development with outside agencies and Market Teams of the Tier 2 DMA & Tier 3 Co-op Plans & budgets and coordinate DMA Retailer Meetings. Oversee and ensure accuracy of RMF and Co-Op budget collection and dispersion to DMAs and retailers.
Retail Programs: Oversee retail programs including retailer T3 websites, Reputation.Com and retail Point of Sale Materials (Color and Trim, Digital Signage Player). Work with CPO Department to develop all marketing materials and programs to drive Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) sales.
The Specialist will work with Retail Marketing Manager to facilitate the National Retail Marketing operation including Launch Events, Retailer POS Materials, multi-cultural programs and CPO Marketing.
Retail Marketing Specialist Region assistance responsibilities include:
Support execution of National Marketing strategy at the Regional, Market and Retailer levels
Assist Regions to ensure retailers’ Tier 3 marketing, including CPO, conforms to program and guidelines.
Assist Regions and retailers on local event marketing, including launch events, retailer grand openings, and local engagement with nationally managed events
Management and execution of National Retailer Conference
Manage Vendor Relationships
Oversee TII & TIII aspects of Launch Planning; Manage Launch fleet
Oversee Point of Sales Program, Digital Signage Players & Special Vehicle Operations Centre needs
Implement Multi-cultural programs for TII & TIII
Support Retailer Requests for Assistance; Including items such as Co-Op, Website, CRM and Leads Management
Key Criteria for Role
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Communications
5-7 years of experience in Automotive Marketing/Advertising, either for OEM, Supplier, or Agency
Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
Strong public speaking and presentation skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Advanced negotiation skills
Knowledge of Reputation Management & Event Management
Financial and budget management skills
Ability to work independently and drive results
Previous field/retail operations and/or retailer experience is a plus
Ability to travel
10% overnight travel, occasional weekends
