Job Summary: Red Hat's OpenShift team is looking for a Junior Events Coordinator to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will plan, coordinate and execute developer-focused events for the OpenShift evangelist team. You'll be responsible for managing contracts, vendors, and overall event planning and execution. As an Events Coordinator, you will deliver exceptional Red Hat experiences and promote expanded global awareness through events. Primary Job Responsibilities: Promote interaction with developer evangelists at targeted events Assist or oversee planning, execution, and follow-up activities for event sponsorships and trade shows for the OpenShift evangelist team Communicate effectively and manage internal and external stakeholders and vendors Support Red Hat branded events from concept to completion, including project management of all activities such as managing contracts, coordinating logistics and swag Identify and implement effective processes and procedures to ensure smooth and professional events
Required Skills: 3 years of event strategy development and delivery experience (internship experience considered) Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a closely related degree Project management experience involving multiple stakeholders Experience communicating with senior-level executives Outstanding problem solving, writing, communication, and presentation skills Ability to identify and develop performance measures and benchmarks Self-motivated, with the ability to perform well under pressure Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while working with a wide variety of cross-functional teams and vendors Skilled in process documentation and guideline creation Creative thinking skills; ability to explore or implement a modern or unconventional approach to solving problems
