Job Description:

Communications Manager I

The Communications Manager I provides broad communications and related support to the Global Human Resources Executive, as key role within GHR Communications. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Assisting in sourcing and handling of scheduling, planning and preparation for meetings and events, including the preparation of briefing documents and memos that contain details, background research and logistical information on the engagement.

Connecting with key stakeholders to analyze, vet and decision executive communication activities.

Tracking all requests, tasks and inquiries related to key external contacts, organizational affiliations, sponsorships and communications projects from end-to-end.

Crafting correspondence as it relates to the Global Human Resources Executives role and responsibilities, both internally and externally. This includes responding to inquiries as directed, coordinating across groups to ensure effective management of schedule and preparation materials.

Overseeing, managing and executing upon the entire executive docket of speaking requests.

Further strengthening the operation of the team including the archiving of work and documentation of procedures.

Required Experience:

5 years of communications support to a leader of a company or organization.

Experience working across all company levels from senior executive to support partners.

Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, as well as Sharepoint.

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Required Skills:

Strong project management skills including the ability to handle multiple projects at the same time with continuous prioritization and progress.

Aptitude to research and experience analyzing complex topics.

Ability to gather thorough background information on a topic and synthesize information so it is easily understandable.

Ability to communicate, work with and successfully manage relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization.

Organizational skills and a high attention to detail.

Sound judgment and discretion.

Very strong sense of urgency, speed, thoughtfulness, and the ability to take initiative when handling time sensitive matters.

Extremely strong collaboration skills, flexibility, ability to work independently and in highly matrixed teams.

Experience in or passion for Global Human Resources work and efforts to be a great place to work for employees.

Must be a team-player with a positive attitude, high energy and sense of humor.

Event management experience appreciated.
