****JOB SUMMARY
CCFC is seeking a full-time Program Coordinator to support our Boston office .
This role will support all of our programs, including our corporate campaigns and the Children’s Screen Time Action Network, and is crucial for making our organization run smoothly and effectively. Ideal candidates are curious, highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about reducing corporations’ influence on childhood.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Administrative
Provide administrative support as needed, including managerment and purchasing of office supplies, copying and printing, and scheduling meetings and travel;
Maintain and update CCFC and Action Network websites (Drupal and Wordpress);
Maintain and update database of CCFC members and press contacts;
Liaise between CCFC and printers, tech support, and other third-party office support;
Manage the technical aspects of CCFC’s office – managing webinars and video conference calls, troubleshooting printers, etc.
Communications & Advocacy
Copyedit CCFC communications;
Assist with drafting and setting up social media, newsletter, and website content for both CCFC and the Action Network;
Assist with maintenance of communications calendar;
Assist in creation of advocacy materials;
Assist in planning and executing campaigns to address child-targeted marketing;
Assist in outreach to communities and other advocates;
Assist with membership maintenance and working group outreach for Children’s Screen Time Action Network.
QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
Project management skills. Ideal candidates are strategic thinkers just as interested in process as outcomes, and are able to see both the “big picture” and the small details needed to get from step to step;
Interest in and understanding of concerns relating to the impacts of commercialism and tech on kids, including corporate data practices, privacy issues, and health outcomes;
Editing skills, including both close proofing and broader content shaping;
Ease in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
Familiarity with Zoom or other video call software;
Familiarity with online community platforms, for example Google Groups or listservs;
Basic knowledge of HTML, Wordpress, and Drupal;
Enjoy working in fast-paced environment with multiple competing projects and deadlines;
Able to work well both collaboratively and independently;
Interest in social activism and justice;
Degree in communication/media studies, child development, or psychology preferred;
Must be able to work in our Boston office. Telecommuting will not be considered.
