Develops, coordinates, and executes critical internal/external media communications plans, tactics and activities to support the corporate Communications strategy.
Coordinator tasked to partner with business units to develop and implement holistic communications activities against business goals. Combining both strategic and tactical support, the coordinator helps design comprehensive, cross-channel campaigns and executes tactically. Provides support for processes, communications and change management issues.
The coordinator must be proficient in authoring content, data/media reporting and analysis, basic web design, online content management, media relations, working cross-functionally internally and externally, and event coordination. He/she must also be comfortable acting as a brand ambassador at company events and engaging with leadership.
Bachelors Degree and minimum two years experience in related field
Skilled with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Photoshop
Progressive experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or related field.
Solid understanding of the inner-workings of a corporate environment
Ability to handle difficult/challenging audiences and situations
Effectively deal with pressure and deadlines
Excellent interpersonal, analytical and communication skills
Strong project management and attention to details
Ability to set priorities, yet remain flexible concerning changing assignments
Database experience a plus
The Communications Specialist will also be responsible for providing administrative support to the Communications department as needed.
