Description Weber Shandwick is looking for a Manager (Account Supervisor level) to join our Corporate PR team in New York.We are looking for a star Manager (Account Supervisor level) candidate (3-5 years of experience) with an expertise in the b2b corporate space. We are looking for someone who knows the media landscape and has a unique experience telling stories for corporate\/consumer brands\u2013 both with multinationals and startups; and counseling clients on and executing integrated media relations strategy. The following is a general outline of primary responsibilities.\u00a0The Essentials:\u2022Thinking: Intellectual curiosity and creativity is a must.\u2022Storytelling: Understand the elements that make a story exciting, what brands are doing in the press and on social platforms, and what they should do next.\u2022Communication: Speak, write and edit succinctly and compellingly.\u00a0\u2022Management: Meet deadlines, put out fires and multi-task. Work fast, and work well.\u2022Interpersonal: Play nice, whether it\u2019s in a team, with a team or independently.\u2022Technical: Know Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook. Media databases and social tracking tools are a bonus.\u2022Detail-Oriented: Whether it\u2019s a media list or a recap report, attention to detail and a commitment to delivering clear and precise work is essential.\u00a0\u2022Spark: Understand what sets you apart.What You Will Be Doing:Integrated Media Relations and Writing\u00a0\u2022Craft integrated media strategies for major campaigns and product launches\u2022Brainstorm and pitch compelling ideas for media and influencer pitch efforts\u2022Monitor media outlets for coverage of client news and competitor developments\u2022Understand industry issues that directly and indirectly affect the client\u2022Compose basic integrated media plans and contribute to plan development processes\u2022Develop proposals, releases, customer profiles, newsroom blogs, bylined articles, supporting social content and other press materials\u2022Proof and edit client related documents as needed\u2022Creatively and proactively develop media programs\u2022Take responsibility to execute media relations strategies\u2022Manage and build relationships with media\u2022Mine current news cycle for ad hoc media opportunities\u2022Lead story mining sessions with senior clients\u2022Mentor junior staffClient & Team Engagement\u2022Communicate with clients on daily basis \u2022Provide basic client counsel\u2022Serve as a key participant in client meetings and presentations\u2022Conduct and manage the flow of research and work materials necessary to analyze client issues\u2022Manage client and team resources and deliverables around major campaigns and product launches Qualifications Basic Qualifications:\u20221-2 years\u2019 management experience leading small groups and projects\u20223-5 years\u2019 experience in PR\/communications role with expertise in writing, plan development, media relations strategy and execution, event management, speaking and awards submissions, social content, measurement, and monitoring\u00a0\u2022Bachelor's Degree\u2022Strong experience with both large-scale and start-up business environments preferredAbout Us:When Weber Shandwick was formed we set out a mission that, by design, has no end date.
