Job Title: Regional Project ManagernLocation: Mankato, MN, Mid-West United States, USAnCompany: Ag Management SolutionsnIndustry Sector:Government/Industry GroupsnIndustry Type: Communications, Promotion, and Public RelationsnCareer Type:Project/Program Management/ConstructionnJob Type:Full TimenMinimum Years Experience Required:3nSalary:Commensurate with experience, generous benefits package, work remote optionnAg Management Solutions, LLCnAg Management Solutions is seeking an enthusiastic professional to fill an immediate opening as Regional Project Manager.nPOSITION SUMMARY:nThe Regional Project Manager works directly with county soybean associations and the soybean office/staff to create a comprehensive communications strategy at the local/regional level for the assigned territory with a focus on priorities affecting the profitability of Minnesota soybean farmers in addition to promoting, facilitating and executing specific programs set by staff program leads in areas of agronomics, environmental stewardship, advocacy and new uses.nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESn– Serve as the primary resource and contact person for the assigned counties (Northwest Minnesota) by:n– Manage and develop county relationships for communications, membership and outreach in assigned territory.n– Determine appropriate elements (advertising, trade shows, social media, etc.) of Minnesota Soybean’s Regional County Promotion (RCS) program to promote the work of the Minnesota Soybean Research  Promotion Council and the soybean checkoff within assigned territory.n– Develop and distribute news articles, press releases, and talking points (if applicable and where necessary) etc.n– Help to identify and recruit farmers to participate in county and state leadershipn– Develop relationships with key influencers (i.e. media, extension educators) and first purchasers (i.e. elevators, feed mills, etc.) and others (agronomic advisors) within assigned territory.n– Provide appropriate analysis to Program Lead Staff on critical imminent, and long term issues affecting producers within assigned territory.n– Work to increase the political effectiveness of the county soybean associations through:n– Assisting to increase soybean membership within each county of assigned territory.n– Promoting the value and work of MSGA.n– Organize and execute regional legislative visits to St Pauln– Manage regional plots, incorporating state programming where appropriaten– Assess value added opportunitiesn– Promote, facilitate and execute programs in the areas of agronomics, environmental, advocacy and new uses with directions from Program Lead staff.n– Have a detailed understanding and implications of regional, national, and global issues affecting producers and effectively relay information to producers when appropriate.nQUALIFICATIONSn– Four-year degree in marketing, communications or related field required;n– A minimum of three years related experience directly tied to agriculture.n– A working knowledge of and passion for modern agriculture and awareness of issues that affect profitable farming.n– Strong writing skills, media savvy.n– Ability to manage time effectively, work independently, and exercise good, sound judgment via remote supervision. Must be a self-starter.n– Highly motivated, innovative, organized, accurate, detail oriented with strong written and oral communication skills; excellent public relations skills, with evidence of ability to work and communicate with diverse people to ensure effective internal and external relationships.n– Must demonstrate sound, independent judgment.n– Ability to plan, organize, direct and coordinate program activities and manage multiple projects, programs and contractors.n– Available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as job requires, extensive in-state travel (40% ), valid driver’s license and insurable under our commercial vehicle insurance policy.nWORKING CONDITIONSnWorking conditions include in-office, remote work and extensive travel, including some overnight travel.
