Job Description:

ICF is seeking a IT Communications Specialist to work support the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Chief Information Officer (CIO). This is a great opportunity to be a part of a team that is making a difference every day. In particular, we are seeking someone with experience working on developing a wide-range of communication activities and products to support the CDC CIO strategic direction and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership, counsel, and project management support in a range of areas, including strategic communications planning, program development, digital communications, materials development, and stakeholder outreach. • Lead the development and implementation of communication plans, messages, materials, and program strategies to reach diverse audiences. • Serve as an advisor to the client, including supporting strategic discussions and problem solving, most particularly related to communications planning, the integration and implementation of communications strategies to increase awareness and utilization of the client resources and materials. • Attend internal client meetings and support the day-to-day implementation of communications needs for the client.• Develop content for IT communication materials to include stakeholder presentations, IT content, information briefings, and executive communications. 

 

 ','!*!Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, communications, journalism, social sciences, or equivalent required, Master’s degree preferred. • Experience working with Federal health IT clients• 5 years of experience with IT communications campaigns, including an in-depth and nuanced understanding of the strategic• 5 years of experience in strategic communications and leading national health communication campaigns on public health programs and issues.• Experience working with C-Suite of executives in developing communication materials

Professional Skills:• Excellent verbal, written, organizational skills, and ability to interface effectively with all executive level staff • Strong communications implementation skills, detail, and deadline-oriented.• Ability to work on multiple tasks and able to monitor and support projects in a timely manner• Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills• Ability to think creatively and provide innovative solutions to clients’ communications challenges/problems• Must be a team player, with the ability to work in a fast paced, client-oriented environment with efficient team members and a variety of stakeholders
