Job Description :
Reporting to the Energy Communications Manager, this position will be responsible for managing the tactical communications elements for the Lockheed Martin Energy line of business within MFC, leading strategic communications for the Engineering & Technology organization and supporting Dallas media relations. The successful candidate must be able to:
Develop internal and external communications to improve market awareness for LM Energy and positively position against segment competitors
Coordinate with the Energy marketing team to plan trade show communications strategy and efforts
Create social media content to publish on LM channels
Prepare Engineering leaders for external and internal communications engagements
Create compelling internal content to advance the goals of the Engineering & Technology organization
Manage creation of graphics, photos and videos with our visual communications team
Provide local media relations support for Community Relations activities and other local events
Collaborate with other Lockheed Martin business areas on developing a one Lockheed Martin story for North Texas.
Leadership preference is for the candidate to be based in Grand Prairie, TX; however, support from a different Lockheed Martin location can be considered if the candidate can spend a pre-determined amount of time in Grand Prairie each quarter.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline and equivalent experience
Solid writing skills
Executive presence and communication skills
Creative and innovative strategic thinking
Expertise in digital and social media trends and practices
Experience developing integrated communications plans
Media relations skill and experience
Knowledge of the DFW media markets
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple complex communications and tasks with minimal direction
Ability to obtain a security clearance
