Position located with the 71st Force Support Squadron’s Marketing, Vance AFB, with REGULAR PART TIME employment category.
UTILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the Marketing Manager in development of publicity documents, products and services. Utilizes software (Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint) to develop and generate flyers, posters, brochures, and other media technology to promote and advertise Force Support Squadron/Services/Family Readiness programs, events and activities. Verifies content and designs monthly Force Support Squadron magazines, mailouts, flyers, posters and presentations. Develops and maintains Vance Services websites on military and commercial domains and social media venues including Facebook and smartphone apps. Processes publication requests from activity managers by required deadlines and suspenses. Develops, coordinates and submits publicity information and items for distribution through print or electronic media. Utilizing AP and AF stylebooks, reviews and resolves office administrative items, documents and materials for grammar, spelling, punctuation, content clarity and obvious factual discrepancies or omissions. Provides courteous, prompt and accurate customer service to all inquiries to the Marketing office. Acts as equipment custodian for office production and printing equipment and supplies. Acts as Privacy Act and Operations Security monitor to ensure compliance with all related laws for publications, documents and items generated through or by the Marketing office. Coordinates with base and local community agencies as required. Performs other duties and designated hours, including weekend/holidays, as related to the function of Marketing as required by the Marketing Director.
Must exercise originality and creativity. Skill and experience in use of computer software related to office automation, publishing, graphics design and web design. Possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Possess excellent organizational, time-management and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work under pressure and manage personal workload and schedules to accomplish tasks by required suspenses. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test. Must satisfactory complete a National Agency Check with Inquires (NACI).
**This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent will be subject to random testing**
