US Marketing Communications Manager - Corn & Forages (Job Number: 195251W-01)
Corteva Agriscience™, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont™ has an immediate Marketing Communications opportunity!
The Marketing Communications Manager will lead all facets of marketing communications for Pioneer brand corn and forages product lines in the U.S. that includes assigned product responsibilities for Corn, Silage corn, BMR corn, Forage additives and Alfalfa. Work collaboratively and as an integral part of the Corn and Forages product marketing team to develop and implement strategy and tactical execution of timely and effective communications directed to growers, influencers, Pioneer sales professionals and field sales employees. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Align product marketing strategies to messaging, positioning and planning processes for the development and implementation of paid media advertising and marketing communication initiatives as it relates to all corn and forages promotional materials.
Provide guidance and oversight to internal and external resources in the development and implementation of creative marketing communications plans and activities, with the input of product marketing managers and Commercial Unit marketers.
Work with advertising agency partners to develop marketing communications plans and implement in a timely manner.
Evaluate creative concepts based upon strategic understanding of objectives and opportunities to align with the annual Pioneer brand corn marketing plan.
Evaluate and utilize all channels and media outlets to deliver messages most effectively and efficiently depending on target audience.
Facilitate Commercial Unit messaging needs as appropriate by working with CU Marketing Managers and CU Communications Specialists.
Oversee an annual marketing communications budget and be able to manage internal and external resources.
Bachelors Degree in the field of marketing, advertising, public relations, or agriculture communications.
Five or more years of industry experience, a communications agency or other professional experience, performing similar work with an emphasis on excellent writing skills, media planning, message development and strategic planning.
Additional knowledge, abilities and skills required by this position:
Knowledge of production agriculture, agronomy and/or overall crop management.
Experience in working on integrated, multi-faceted communications campaigns using a variety of delivery platforms, including traditional media advertising and digital communications tools.
Ability to make sound, thoughtful judgments on the effectiveness, efficiency and impact of communications alternatives.
Be a team player, yet have the ability to think and work independently – see initiatives through from plan development to execution.
