Overviewnn n nWe are looking for a Vice President (Pharma) to join our Healthcare team! You would serve as a key contact for two of the agencyu2019s healthcare accounts, which span both product and corporate work, internal and external, with plenty of opportunities to try your hand in multiple aspects of communications. You will also join a growing practice that spans pharmaceutical, health services and government.nAbout the JobnIdeal candidate is someone with a strong background in Pharma (experience in eye care, oncology, or diagnostics is a plus) with the ability to provide senior counsel and strategic planning for account teams and clients. This person should be a hands on strategist.nn Provide senior-level account planning and serve as the strategic liaison among clients, account teams, and industry group leaders. n Act as primary client contact for client business units; continually foster client-agency relationship to build trust and become a valuable resource to client. Demonstrate expertise and understanding of clientsu2019 marketplace and business with experience managing communications to support data and regulatory milestones.n Design and implement strategic programs and solutions, identifying and alerting teams and clients to trends.n Demonstrate strong quantitative and analytical abilities to define measurable objectives, assess campaign metrics, and reportsn Demonstrate and develop presentation, negotiation and problem-solving skills; demonstrate ability to effectively develop full range of materials, including media materials, byline articles, client correspondences and reports.n Successful track record at building and presenting new concepts and programs for clients and business development opportunities, including earned, social and digital programmingn Collaborate with specialists across earned media, paid media, social media, strategy, creative and more. n Encourage and create a can-do working environment, reinforcing the importance and value of each team memberu2019s contributions.n Reinforce Ketchum values, ethics, culture and critical success factors.n Maximize utilization of team members through effective recruitment, employee goal-setting, appraisals, development plans, etc.; work with human resources in dealing with personnel matters.n Function as key player in pursuing new business opportunities and in leading the proposal and presentation processesn Encourage and train account teams on developing incremental business; guide them in how to recognize and develop new business opportunities with clients.n Stay on top of PR trends in the industry; bring them to the attention of clients and associates, as appropriate.n Maintain team billability and productivity requirements; monitor for account profitability.n Work with financial manager to ensure client budgets are comprehensive, actual costs are monitored and approved, and billed account receivables are collected in a timely mannernnQualificationsnAny combination of education and experience providing the required skills and knowledge for successful performance would qualify. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:nn Bacheloru2019s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Marketing or a related field preferred.
