Marketing Consultant Description:As a core team member of the Marketing Consulting team, the Marketing Consultant is dedicated to supporting all advisors with a superior client experience as they call in with their marketing questions and needs. The Marketing Consultant will provide advisors with the information, answers, and resources that will help them better market and grow their business.  The Marketing Consultant will support the Consulting team with content creation, special projects and speaking engagements via the marketing programs, offerings, and content provided on LPL’s client facing portals and consulting services. The Marketing Consultant will help to identify trends and gaps based on their engagement with advisors and drive team conversations around implementing feedback and innovative solutions. The Marketing Consultant will lead the collection of team and advisor feedback to drive continuous improvement in our offering and services.This position will report to an AVP of Marketing, and will work directly with other members of the Marketing Consulting team.Job Duties & Responsibilities: Provide the best client experience to all who call or email with questions and needs by fully answering their questions and meeting their needs efficiently and with correct information the first timeSource content and/or information from within LPL to ensure that all questions and emails are answered correctly and efficiently within 24 hoursAct as an expert in all LPL marketing tools and resources available to advisors and institutionsProvide guidance on approved third-party tools and resources available to support advisors’ marketing effortsSource or create marketing content to help advisors market their businessConduct traditional and digital marketing consultationsPresent direct feedback from advisors and work with manager on actionable solutionsLead new team member onboarding and training programSupport manager is facilitating a team education curriculum for higher learning and team developmentProvide demos of marketing tools and resourcesPresent demos and best practices on the Advisor University webinar seriesParticipate in Home Office Visits in support of LPL’s recruiting effortsParticipate on LinkedIn and Twitter on behalf of the Marketing Consulting team and in support of our advisors’ interest in continuous learning and best practicesAttend industry and LPL Financial conferences, as appropriateTrack and report on key performance indicatorsWork on special marketing projects as neededQualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, English, Communication, Journalism or a related field required (Finance or Economics minor is helpful to understand our industry)2+ years hands-on marketing experience requiredKnowledge of digital marketing and social media best practices requiredBasic graphic design skills is a plusVideo content creation and editing is a plusIntermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office required (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)A self-starter, proactive with a positive, growth-oriented mindsetExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational and project management skillsExperienced collaborator, strong attention to detail, independent and critical decision makerResourceful with the ability to work autonomously but also contribute and work well on teams, collaborative, enthusiastic and positive attitudeWorks well in a fast-paced and ever-changing environmentAbout LPL Financial: LPL Financial is a leader in the retail financial advice market and the nation’s largest independent broker/dealer*.
