Location and team
DNV KEMA's Sustainable Use Services group is seeking a capable and experienced individual to join as a Sustainability Project Manager to provide business development, leadership, and consulting on sustainable buildings and communities projects. Our services include LEED consulting, commissioning, energy modeling, sustainability policy and program development, program implementation, and technical consulting. We are highly accomplished with all LEED systems (BD C, ID C, EB: O M, and ND). This position is located in our Oakland, CA office. Tasks may include:
Build relationships with developers, architects, engineers, and contactors
Create and deliver presentations
Project and Program Management for utilities and enterprises
Working with building Owners, design and construction team members, facility managers, and property managers to assess sustainability options for new construction, major renovations, interior build-outs, and existing buildings
LEED advisory and consulting services
Understanding the lifecycle costs and returns on investment of sustainability recommendations and advising building owners on cost effective solutions
Coordinating with a technical team including commissioning, retro-commissioning, and engineering disciplines
Managing multiple projects at a time
Preparing and presenting professional recommendations, reports, and results to clients and teams
What we're asking
Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree a plus
Minimum of 7 years' relevant experience in the field
Ability to provide team leadership and business strategy
Demonstrated ability to manage and collaborate with team members and clients is a requirement
LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) status, and experience on LEED projects is preferable
Additional certifications/licenses such as CGBP, BPI, CEM, PE, etc. are a plus
Strong Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
The ideal candidate will have a combination of close client interaction and business expertise
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time
Willingness and ability to successfully pass a background check
