Communications Manager, Internal IT
This is an estimated 5 month temporary position, with the possibility of converting to a direct hire, in Kent, WA and is offered through Volt Workforce Solutions. This position involves working with all departments to create and execute transition communication, training plans and deliverables for IT related activities, programs, and projects. This role is accountable to work with all functions in the IT division, key vendors who deliver our hardware and software programs, cross-functional coordination with partners across the initiatives, and technical implementations. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding values and mission. The role also integrates IT communications across the enterprise and serves as a regular contributor to change management efforts.
Lead communication and change management efforts including
Communications plans for client end users and business units
Acclimate quickly to and gain full understanding of client communications culture (existing vehicles, preferred voice, communications strategy and approach, etc.)
Complete stakeholder analysis
Integrate client communication approach with transition communications recommendations into a transition communications plan
Manage the development, approval and distribution for all communications as documented within the plan
Document all elements within a training plan
Coordinate the scheduling of all trainings
Communicate the training schedule and supporting guides to account team members
Skills and experience
Helping us with internal communication more than external
Change management with legacy culture, new tools, new campus move, etc.
Ex. moving to O365, exchange online, and other projects
IT internal communication
Works with ambiguity, look at gaps where communication is needed
Use prior experience to give us ideas on how to do things better
Experience with large implementations affected different groups in different ways
Working with service desk org with changes and incorporate into future communications
On-prem to cloud transitions experience helpful
Organized, detail oriented
Ability to present their approach and show to leadership
5 years’ experience in marketing and/or communications with an emphasis on company internal communications is required
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
Strong writing experience and expertise in a variety of media (including emerging communication technologies), creative conceptualization, writing for comprehension and editing
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects and resources, including the management of external communications vendors
Demonstrated experience in successful implementation of large change management and change communication programs; connecting strategic communications to successful business outcomes
Demonstrated ability and success in creating and delivering effective communication plans and strategies
