PURPOSE AND SCOPE:Responsible for planning, development and execution of community relations programs and events with oversight from the communications management team. Works cross functionally to assist in the alignment of programs and partnerships both across the organization as well as with external partners. Responsible for writing communications and in support of company and department objectives. Provide program support for charitable organization donations and financials. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Event Planning, National Kidney Foundation partnershipWith management oversight, manage event planning in support of partnership with NKF and other sponsorship opportunities. Includes coordinating employee and community attendance, promotions, activations (walker sign ups, booths, tables, give-a-ways, ordering supplies) for key markets Provide onsite logistical and media/speaker support for community events in select marketsOversee company branding at local walks, ensure speaker attendance at kick off eventsWith management oversight, coordinate the planning and execution of major fundraising eventsPartner with vendors to develop plan, prepare proposals for board review and assist in implementing eventCommunicationsUpdate internal and external website copyWrite program recaps, plans and presentations for review by Communications management teamManage community relations Editorial CalendarIdentify, develop and draft compelling stories to be shared internally and externally that support our communication prioritiesRelationship & Project ManagementCultivate and nurture contact with key partners in the nonprofit space. Organize and define process for award submissionsDevelopment of volunteerism toolkits; employee involvement tracking and reportingAssist with the PTO/Payroll donation program deliverables as assignedSupport the process of software selection and roll out of CRM platform for tracking donationsOtherConduct research and develop a competitive analysis of community relations practices by other companiesConsult with and support our clinic staff as they navigate community engagement opportunities Research opportunities with established and new charitable, association and membership partners Track charitable contributions to FMC Foundation; steward donors appropriately Assist with various projects as assigned by supervisorAdditional responsibilities may include focus on one or more departments or locations.  See applicable addendum for department or location specific functions.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Position involves travel to markets to support events.
