*Build an annual comprehensive communications plan for all accepted students beginning with the point of their acceptance. *Develop and manage accepted student recruitment initiatives. Initiatives to include various campaigns such as: the annual holiday card, monthly recruitment focused emails, the annual Home for the Holidays program and accepted student calling campaigns. *Lead the Office of Admissions as its primary contact for presentations. Presentation audiences include but are not limited to: prospective student groups, CoM applicants, current students, the UCCOM Curriculum Committee and the CoM Alumni Executive Board. *Lead a group of over 150 Student Ambassadors each semester. Ambassador programs include but are not limited to: tour guides, MMI raters, MMI greeters, the applicant host program, and Second Look. *Manage and advise a group of 10 Student Orientation Leaders (SOL's) each year. Lead the SOL's in enhancing the incoming student experience by incorporating informative and spirited programs into the Orientation program. Programs include but are not limited to: the opening BBQ, fashion show, scavenger hunt, food trucks, the closing cookout and alumni dinners. *Direct the four-day College of Medicine Orientation program each August. Program to consist of over 40 presenters, 10 Student Orientation Leaders and 180 medical students. *Develop and implement the annual Second Look program for accepted students. *Serve on the merit-based scholarship committee to award merit scholarships to accepted students. *Direct all social media campaigns such as #stepDONE, the SOL Spotlight and #H4tH. *Hold a seat on the Connections program screen team as well as the Connections program Admissions Committee. *Serve as the event expert & resource for other departments within the College of Medicine. *Serve as the primary contact to manage the US News & World Report for the overall College of Medicine. *Lead the Medical School Admission Requirements (MSAR) survey updates on an annual basis. *Serve as the primary office liaison to strengthen relationships with other CoM departments such as the UC Foundation and Alumni Affairs. *Lead all recruitment focused initiatives during the Multiple-Mini Interview season. *Monitor and extend alternate list offers each Spring. *Oversee the input of Admissions Decisions in the MedStat system.
*Master degree in a related educational program, student affairs administration or other related field with five (5) years of relevant experience; -OR- Bachelor degree with seven (7) years of relevant experience; -OR- Associate degree with nine (9) years of relevant experience.
*Excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, professional judgment, and professionalism befitting an individual working with institutional leaders and executive stakeholders. *Demonstrated initiative and ability to multi-task and independently track and carry concurrent projects through to long-term conclusion. *Excellent time management abilities, including ability to prioritize duties depending on timeline/item importance. *Understanding of and willingness to participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) including ability to receive and integrate constructive feedback. *Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat applications. Ability to learn other data reporting programs (e.g., Crystal Reports, MedOneStop queries) is required. *Ability to work occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends is required.
