The Marketing Event Specialist will manage all aspects of events/tradeshows for Marketing and Sales to ensure they are properly optimized for lead generation as well as produce a positive branding experience for ABILITY. The Event Specialist will be responsible for driving a return on investment for each event based on predetermined mutually agreed upon goals with Marketing and Sales leadership. They will also be responsible for booth set-up as well as handling any issues that may surface at the event. For smaller regional shows they will serve as the sole representative for ABILITY and will conduct product demonstrations and answer base level questions of event attendees.
In coordination with Market Managers and Executive Team along with Sales Management develop an annual tradeshow plan focused on generating MQLs that will convert into an ROI.
Responsible for event preparation including creating strategies for exhibit booth demos, who should attend, what products should be featured, giveaways, etc.
Manage all aspects of tradeshows, conferences and events promoting ABILITY products and services to raise brand awareness.
Manage the assessment, inventory and recommendation of items to purchase for ABILITY tradeshow giveaways.
In coordination with the Director of Marketing set an annual tradeshow and COE budgets.
Assist with the development of: print collateral, advertisements, tradeshows and corresponding booth content, print media campaigns, email campaigns, direct marketing, general and specific webcasts, particularly related to tradeshows and conferences.
Track and report results from tradeshows, corporate events, speaking events and public relations programs.
Conduct product demos at tradeshows as necessary.
Coordinate internal events such as holiday parties, Circle of Excellence, etc.
Assist with other projects as needed.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years’ of applicable previous sales and marketing experience.
Proficient Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong Presentation skills.
Good analytical and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to set and manage multiple priorities, use good judgment and demonstrate excellent problem solving skills.
Strong project management/organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to build team unity, working with a cross-functional and diverse groups.
Flexibility to travel when needed.
