The Public Relations Coordinator will work with the Senior Manager of Public Relations to develop, implement, and track the effectiveness of WGU’s public relations programs.
Writing articles, releases, and online posts that promote WGU’s brand and degree programs
Updating and developing media lists, both print and online
Researching opportunities for placement of press releases and articles.
Maintaining and updating WGU’s blog
Updating public relations areas of the WGU website
Working closely with the WGU marketing team to support new degree launches and other marketing initiatives
Creating and maintaining reports that track effectiveness of public relations strategies and tactics
Coordinating projects such as online contests, graduation public relations, and other special projects as assigned
Outstanding writing and editing skills are required.

Familiarity with social media, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.
Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite required, with an emphasis on Excel
