Position Emphasis: The Recruiting and Admissions Coordinator is a full-time position that works under the supervision of SPAu2019s Director of Recruitment and Strategic Partnerships to recruit new students to SPAu2019s undergraduate and graduate academic programs. The position executes strategies that increase prospective inquiries, completed applications, and student enrollments, allowing the School to meet its enrollment and revenue goals. This position maintains positive relationships with university departments involved in recruiting and admissions, with other CU Denver schools and colleges, and with external institutions such as community colleges and K-12 school districts and other prospective student pipelines.This position may occasionally travel and/or attend events at nights or on weekends.u00a0 Examples of Work Performed: Recruit new students for SPAu2019s academic degree and certificate programs in order to reach annual targets for applications and enrollments. Implement, coordinate, and participate in on-campus and off-campus lead generation events and activities.u00a0 Travel on behalf of the School of Public Affairs, speaking publicly to individuals and groups about SPA programs. Build relationships with prospective students that maximize applications and enrollments. Effectively utilize customer relationship management database system to manage recruitment activities and implement communications campaigns with prospective leads. Assist in developing new target markets and new strategies to increase enrollment. Engage with university advising and student affairs offices and organizations to build awareness of SPA programs at CU Denver and within the CU System. Work with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions to implement coordinated K-12 and community college outreach and recruiting strategies for prospective undergraduate students. Work with the Graduate School to implement coordinated outreach and recruiting strategies for prospective graduate students. Work with CU Online to implement coordinated outreach and recruiting strategies for prospective students in SPAu2019s online academic programs. Engage with external organizations such as primary feeder schools, community colleges, independent counselors, and government and nonprofit employers to help increase yield. With the Diversity Coordinator, implement recruiting strategies designed to increase the diversity of the student body. Host regular information sessions, webinars, and local events for persons interested in learning more about SPA programs. Respond to initial inquiries from persons interested in learning more about SPA programs. Provide input into the development of compelling messaging and materials for use in student recruitment, including print materials, social media campaigns, and website content. Provide input into the strategic use of scholarships for recruitment. Serve on internal teams and committees relevant to the position. Represent SPA on relevant university committees as assigned.
