What you will do:
The National Account Manager is responsible for leading the development and execution of customer specific sales and marketing strategies for their assigned area of responsibility (AOR). Led by a business insights and customer focused approach, the National Account Manager will localize channel and geography business brand strategies to achieve annual AOR objectives. The National Account Manager will cultivate and leverage collaborative business relationships with both internal as well as agency resources to deliver on AOR objectives. The National Account Manager will be accountable for effectively translating Brand, Channel and Geography strategies and objectives into actionable execution plans as well as managing projects to completion. The National Account Manager will be accountable for effectiveness and efficiency metrics as well as team net sales objectives within their AOR. The National Account Manager is a key contributor to the execution of both the annual operating plan as well as the Tillamook long range plan and will be charged with continually elevating Tillamook’s position in the rapidly evolving retail marketplace. The National Account Manager is responsible for expertise within their AOR and linking the sales channel and customer strategy strategic vision linking to our Brand Plan.
The National Account Manager will also be responsible for facilitating a connected Integrated Demand Creation plan as well as commercializing sales strategies in their area of responsibility. This role will work directly with the shopper marketing team to ensure the strategy is aligned with the brand, elevates consumer perception of the brand, and ultimately provides exceptional experiences to engage and expand the number of Tillamook consumers.
The National Account Manager will be a well-balanced leader, adept at driving results through collaboration, as this position will work closely with cross-functional teams to oversee, execute, and integrate product and shopper marketing campaigns to achieve high-level business results.
Here’s a day in the life:
Lead development and align on overall sales strategies to deliver on high-level sales & marketing goals and company objectives. Collaborate with brand teams, partner agencies, and senior sales & marketing leadership to inform the annual operating plan for assigned area of responsibility
Develop strong everyday working relationships with internal Marketing, Sales, Consumer Insights, Category Management, Finance, and Strategic Planning Teams
Develop base business, innovation, trade, shopper marketing strategies and plans based on individual retailer and opportunities
Identify new opportunities to gain share within base business, new customers/accounts & strategic pillars and ensure alignment with key stakeholders
Build and maintain relationships with key customers at the leadership level, including developing and delivering presentations to gain buy in and to drive business results
Lead and mediate sales agency relationships, contracts, and cross-agency integration to maximize partner efficiency and effectiveness. (eg.) Brokers, Shopper Marketing Agencies
Play a pivotal role in the annual planning process in partnership with the broader sales, marketing, consumer insights, and category management teams, bringing in the customer or channel expertise for your area of responsibility
Lead maximizing the overall trade and shopper marketing budget for your area of responsibility, helping to allocate resources to the priorities that will deliver the most value to the business

Additional Skills
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including listening skills
Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
Knowledge of conflict resolution best practices and keen ability to creatively problem-solve
Work under pressure, meet deadlines, and be flexible in working on multiple projects simultaneously with little supervision
Overall comfort with computer systems is a must, including advanced skills in Microsoft programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Google Analytics, Email Service Providers, search optimization tools, content management systems, social monitoring tools, blog platforms, etc. is a plus
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field
5-7 years of sales and/or shopper marketing experience and 2 years of leadership and management. Experience in CPG (food) is a plus
Occasional night or weekend work. Occasional travel every 1-2 months
