Our industry is growing rapidly, and now is a great time to launch your career with the KellyMitchell team.Job Summary: Entry Communications ManagerDuties:\tAssist in writing/editing internal and external science communications including email messages, news articles, talking points, Q&As, video scripts, media materials and asset copy. \tSupport the development of visual communications materials, such as infographics, videos and PowerPoint presentations. \tAssist in developing content for employee intranet as well as some external channels (LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.). \tProvide logistical coordination for internal events, including but not limited to, coordinating logistics with A/V and Meeting Services teams, drafting and distributing invitations, monitoring and organizing questions prior to and during events, and managing post-event communications. \tWork with subject matter experts to gather, curate and update existing science-related content, including slides, master messages and other internal and external materials. \tSupport the development of communications and collateral materials, such as media lists, communications materials to internal/external stakeholders, Off-the-shelf presentations, fact sheets, message guides, etc. \tHelp manage the internal and external Communications team’s monthly metrics reporting. \tProvide additional support for internal and external Communications team as needed. Desired Skills/ Experience:\tBachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, Public Relations or related field. \tTwo years of relevant communication experience in a public relations agency or corporate environment and/or with a news organization. \tStrong written and oral communications skills, including copyediting and familiarity with AP style. \tStrong time management and organizational skills, with ability to prioritize and work effectively on a variety of projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment. \tProven ability to ensure accuracy, completeness and thoroughness of all work products. \tProficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint and Excel. \tExperience managing web content using a content management systems such as SharePoint is preferred. \tHigh level of professionalism and ability to work with team members at all levels in the organization.
