Director, Brand Communications - Loyalty','COR0105G','7930 Jones Branch Drive','','McLean','22102','!*!The Director of Brand Communications - Loyalty will be a key leader within the Brand Communications organization, overseeing Team Members and agencies in order to communicate the benefits of Hilton Honors to grow market share and reach, as well as to deliver engaging content and purposeful storytelling around Hilton Honors that drives consumer interest in the program.
What will I be doing?
The Director of Brand Communications – Loyalty will partner closely with the Loyalty and Partner Program team and Marketing team in order to align Brand Communications with business needs and marketing priorities. The Director will also partner with Corporate Affairs colleagues and proactively manage program issues.
Other key priorities are listed below:
Responsible for setting and implementing the Brand Communications strategy for the Hilton Honors brand
Work closely with clients (which will include Loyalty and Partnership Program Team Members, Brand Executives and Marketing and Sales leadership) to define local and global communications strategies for Hilton Honors in order to drive growth and elevate the Hilton enterprise brand
Connecting the dots internally will be critical to the success of this role
Partner with Marketing, and work to keep leadership up to date on large-scale initiatives while also being able to dive into the details as necessary
Manage the team responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight for all brand communications related to Hilton Honors
Identify and nurture relationships with loyalty influencers and targeted media to build a deeper affinity with the Hilton Honors program
Provide insights to develop Hilton Honors benefits that have news value
Develop compelling and purposeful content to bring the Hilton Honors program to life through earned and owned channels
Oversee and direct PR agency support for Hilton Honors
Collaborate effectively with Hilton partners ','!*!What are we looking for?
To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:
BA/BS Bachelor’s Degree
A minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience
A minimum of five (5) years of Public Relations or Journalism experience
A minimum of four (4) years of managerial experience
Public Relations or Journalism experience
Social and digital media experience
Strong writing skills
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
MA/MS Master’s Degree
A minimum of six (6) years of experience at the Director level
Experience managing a global online communication program for a consumer brand
Experience working in Hospitality, Loyalty and Travel Marketing
Event Marketing and/or Entertainment Communications experience
Experience developing content for online communications campaigns
Online crisis management experience
