Primary Duties:

The successful candidate will activate Pillsbury United’s brand across all platforms. The Director of Brand Marketing will think strategically and have a passion for detailed marketing execution. The Director of Brand Marketing and Communications will collaborate with neighborhood centers, innovative social enterprises, advancement, and HR to comprehensively market the organization to the appropriate audiences. This role will develop visionary and compelling marketing to drive brand awareness, differentiation, affinity, and preference.

General Responsibilities:

Provide leadership that inspires program staff to embrace and implement PUC’s mission, vision and values in their work

Brand Affinity & Awareness – Ensure competitive differentiation and drive consumer consideration, choice, preference, and loyalty

Brand Stewardship – Ensure the brand promise, positioning, and identity are consistent across all touch points

Content Strategy & Thought Leadership – Develop content strategy that positions Pillsbury United as a strategic leader in human services. Leverage a variety of internal and external channels to amplify content and messages. Develop and execute content plans and assets including articles, videos, visual infographics, etc.

Collaboration – Work closely with HR department in the development of effective recruitment approaches that attract and retain the best talent

Enhance website, digital, social media, and email campaigns

Use consumer insights, segmentation, trends and data to drive decisions

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has direct supervisory responsibilities for 1-4 employees and 1-4 interns and volunteers

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is responsible for the development and management of a budget

POSITION TYPE AND HOURS:

This position is a full-time, exempt position; occasional evenings and weekends; some travel for conferences and development opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Unwavering commitment to the mission and values of Pillsbury United Communities

Experience in dynamic management within a multi-site organization with an ability to move and inspire a cross-functional group with unified direction and common vision

BA degree in communications, journalism, marketing or business related field

Vast experience in digital marketing channels and tactics, SEM/SEO, social media, etc.

Understand or have experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator and/or InDesign

Proficient in Google Analytics, RaisersEdge, and MailChimp systems

10 year experience in marketing communications for public, private or non-profit entity

Master’s degree in related field preferred

Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities

Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills

Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
