SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Serves as member of the senior leadership team and assistant to the President and CEO.  Works closely with the President & CEO to coordinate and organize key organization strategies, initiatives, functions, events and meetings.  Intregal in the development of communications, tools and processes to further the success of St. Luke\u2019s Hospital.  Oversees the coordination and management of the Administrative office affairs.   
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND STANDARDS: 
Responsible for supporting the Board of Directors and the President & CEO of St. Luke\u2019s Hospital and Health Network. Collaborates with executive team members in preparing the business of the Board of Directors and the Office of the CEO. Supports both special projects and routine Board governance functions including meeting scheduling, agenda preparation, distribution of minutes, and record management. Supports the Chair of the Board and the CEO in developing and implementing Board agendas and other materials. Handles on and off-site logistics. Coordinates all other aspects of Board of Directors and various Board committee meetings. - Maintains official records of Board meetings. Ensures that meeting records and minutes are transcribed, circulated and maintained as organization records. \u2013Partners with members of the senior executive team and Board Committee Chairs in managing the work and agendas of the entire governance function. Coordinates the committee appointment process and maintains accurate records of committee appointments.
Works as a member of the senior leadership team to achieve organizational strategic goals, foster values and support the mission of the Hospital.
Oversees and coordinates management of the organization\u2019s key strategic initiatives, ensuring that plans are organized, in process and on plan for implementatoin in partnership with the executives who assume primary responsibility for the initiative.
Plans, executes and manages the success of special events and initiatives for the Hospital as designated by the President ad CEO
Serves on various committees of the Hospital or in the community representing the Hospital.
Assists the President and/or senior leadership in development and implementation of correspondence, reports, meeting materials and presentations.
Manages the Sr. Executive Assistant to the President. Coordinates office coverage when the Sr. Executive Assistant to the Presideent is not available.
Plans and coordinates senior leadership meetings. Prepares materials and completes special projects and analyses at the request of the CEO.
Completes special research on behalf of the leadership team.
Oversees development and quality of communications from the Office of the President & CEO.
Performs special projects or additional duties, as assigned.
Education
Masters degree required.  
Experience
Previous Governance and Healthcare experience  preferred.  Previous leadership experience preferred.  Ability to work independently and to collaborate with members of the senior leadership team. Experience with public relations and project management preferred. Must demonstrate ability to complete tasks within given time and quality parameters, adhering to strict deadlines. - Effective written and oral communication skills are required with great attention to detail and the ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, all levels of management, physicians and patients. - Demonstrated knowledge and program operations experience required. - Demonstrated creativity and innovation in program design. - Computer literacy required.
Reporting Relationships (Text Only)Reports to  President and CEO Takes Direction From:  The President and CEO and Sr. Leadership Provides Direction To:  Leaders and team members serving on designated teams or projects 
Working Conditions
Employee is required to sit frequently and walk occasionally. Employee must lift/carry a light (10-20 lbs.) to medium (21-50 lbs.) load occasionally. Employee is required to lift over 50 lbs. with assistance. Employee is occasionally required to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, climb, lift from floor to waist, lift from floor to overhead, and lift from waist to overhead. For repetitive action, employee requires simple grasping, pushing/pulling, and fine manipulation. Employee is exposed to the following environmental conditions: fumes, radiation, electrical hazards, and CRT/LCD/Plasma terminal work occasionally; temperature changes (heat, cold, wet, damp) and noise occasionally; confined to small areas occasionally. Employee is occasionally exposed to blood borne pathogens. May be required to work any shift, due to 24 hour per day/7 day per week operation. May be required to work additional hours as needed. (Occasionally: 1-33%, Frequently: 34-66%, Continuously: 67-100%) The most significant of duties are included but this does not exclude occasional work assignments not mentioned or developmental duties.
