Edelman New York is looking for a Senior Vice President to lead the digital team in our Corporate & Public Affairs division. We are seeking an experienced leader with deep digital expertise in B2B, corporate, public affairs and issue campaigns. This individual will bring strong experience in business development, have the relationships to create business opportunities and proven ability to build strong client relationships.
You will play an integral role in strategically guiding the work and teams to achieve client objectives, act as a thought leader to provide sound and proactive counsel to clients, and lead by example to inspire our agency teams to deliver their best work every day. You will have the opportunity to influence the most pressing issues for our clients in a variety of sectors and develop and execute data-driven programs and campaigns on behalf of major corporations and trade associations.
Build and expand the C&PA digital practice.
Manage, develop and motivate a dedicated team of digital specialists and collaborate with specialists including creative, paid and analytics.
Exhibit broad understanding of the digital space, latest trends and changes in advocacy and issue campaigns.
Build strong relationships with clients as the senior client relationship manager.
Play a major role in the research, planning and development of comprehensive digital and social programs.
Collaborate with senior leadership in developing business opportunities and operationalizing programs for clients.
Lead new business efforts including prospecting, proposal writing and pitching.
Actively manage existing client accounts including profitability, client budgets and expenses.
Identify key strategic marketing opportunities for the digital practice to increase new business leads, including identifying and participating in relevant conferences and industry events.
Serve as a member of the C&PA leadership team.

12 years of experience at an interactive, digital advertising and/or digital PR agency, with a track record in being a category expert and business strategist.
9 years of experience managing and leading integrated teams.
In-depth experience with integrated marketing and communications programs including strategic development, creative development, analysis and implementation.
Demonstrated track record of developing and executing successful digital and social strategies and programs.
Expertise in marketing and sales; knowledge of marketing strategy and tactics; employs consultative sales techniques.
Relationship builder, demonstrating an ability to listen and respond to a wide variety of constituencies.
Strong communicator and presenter, able to present and articulate persuasive and cohesive presentations and points of view that ultimately close the sale.
Candid communicator who can organize, clarify and communicate complex ideas quickly, succinctly and accurately.
