The Nike Communications team develops, establishes and strengthens authentic connections with diverse audiences through the lens of innovation and sport. Description

As a Leadership Communications Manager with Global Employee Communications, you will help drive and deliver communications to our more than 73,000 employees globally. You'll work with a team of communications professionals using traditional, digital and social media platforms to engage Nike's global employee base. This role will help to create strategic, integrated communications plans to support communications for NIKE, Inc. key business functions and initiatives.

Responsibilities to include:

• Develop highly innovative and targeted communications strategies, messages and tactics that engage NIKE, Inc. employees

• Support senior level executive communications

• Support on-going global reward and recognition employee engagement programs

• Develop ongoing relationships with business partners across a range of Nike functions

• Manage and execute communications tactics across print, video, and online channels

• Create briefing materials, track timelines and manage internal and external approval processes where appropriate

• Provide copywriting support for team emails, signage, and collateral and work with a graphic designer as needed

• Anticipate, manage, and mitigate communications issues

• Manage communications budgets and resource needs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (minimum) in journalism, PR, English, communications, business, or related field required. Two additional years of experience required in lieu of a degree

• Seven years professional experience in a high-profile communications role

• Proven ability to communicate plans across a complex matrix on a corporate, regional and functional basis

• Excellent writing/editorial and strategic planning skills

• Possess a sense of urgency, flexibility, and attention to detail

• Ability to work collaboratively with others and develop consensus within diverse groups and with people at all levels within the organization

• High aptitude for creative thinking, balanced against bottom-line business needs

• Experience leading communications strategy for major events, media and across multiple vendor relationships preferred

• Deep understanding of both evolving consumer communications environment and digital landscape.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of footwear or apparel industry

• Experience working on high profile consumer brands

• Ability to Travel, 5-10%
