Job Description
Our client, a multinational Technology company, is currently seeking a Communications Specialist for a 10 month temporary position with the opportunity for an extension.  The position is located in San Jose, CA.\r

By working for our client, you will be exposed to a large multinational company (listed on NASDAQ) that designs, manufactures and sells networking equipment, work for a firm with over 70,000 employees, a firm with $45 billion dollars in revenue, work in a fast paced corporate environment and be an integral part to the Communications team.\r

Pay: $36.00/HOUR\r
Duration: 10 months\r

Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):\r
 \r

\r
\tLead community marketing efforts, ensuring execution of strategies to improve market presence.  \r
\tDevelop public relations strategies that will influence public opinion or promote ideas, products and services.  \r
\tPlan and execute press conferences and special events.  \r
\tPromote individuals, groups, or organizations by writing or selecting publicity material and releasing it through various communications media.  \r
\tRespond to requests for information or designate another appropriate spokesperson or information source.\r
\r

Qualifications:\r
\r
\r
\tStrong experience in media and communications \r
\tBudgeting and finance experience. \r
\tMarketing and business development skills \r
\tSilicon Valley experience and mindset is essential. \r
\tStrong Microsoft Office – PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc. \r
\tBackground in marketing, communications and public relations \r
\tExcellent communication skills - exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills \r
\tMessaging, Communications Planning, Branding and Positioning Development \r
\tProgram Design & Development \r
\tEvent Management Experience \r
\tStrong project management and organizing skills\r
\r
