About the role:
Digital technologies and the internet have dramatically changed the way healthcare providers and patients access medical device information. These capabilities also
provide new tools for Business Units and Divisions to more efficiently and effectively communicate with and influence customers and patients about Boston Scientific products and therapies.
Digital media plays an important role in our marketing communication plans to reach and influence highly specific target audiences and drive them to Boston Scientific digital properties for content engagement and customer acquisition. The digital media landscape is becoming increasingly crowded requiring world-class media planning, buying, measurement and ad trafficking. Reporting to the Director of Digital Marketing Planning, the Digital Media Specialist will provide Boston Scientific Business Units with expert and innovative digital media planning and buying guidance delivering competitive differentiation and advantage.
The Digital Media Specialist will oversee all agency and vendor SOWs, negotiations and processes and consult with Digital Marketing Manager’s (DMM) on strategy, execution, and delivery of digital marketing campaigns in support of the business and marketing objectives, including but not limited to:
*Oversee BSC digital media strategy and reporting. *Providing strategic insight to develop long-term execution plans for all of our divisions stated business objectives and implementing those plans. *Oversee and facilitate budgeting and pacing, campaign creation, and optimization with each division and the agency. *Be a change agent for the organization to continue to innovate and modernize our digital go-to-market approach
Your responsibilities include:
*Manage the Media Consolidation RFP along with key stakeholders from each of the divisions *Partner with internal teams to understand the state of the business and work with agency partners to develop, execute and optimize media efforts toward business needs *Consult and partner with DMM on digital media performance across channels – display, video, custom programs, mobile, paid social, paid search etc. Utilize performance insights to inform and maintain daily and weekly campaign performance kpis and traffic projections for the business *Collaborate with Digital Marketing Managers in each business to optimize campaigns (and creative content) based on traffic performance and behavior *Educate internal partners on the digital media space including campaign performance; present data and findings clearly, concisely and accurately, and be able to draw meaningful conclusions *Identify and implement organizational capabilities to track progress, execution, and consistency of digital media *Manage pan BSC digital media SOW and agency and consult on how dollars should be spent to deliver positive ROI for the business. This position will need to be in charge of aggregating spending forecasts across all Bus. *Consult on the building and execution of all media campaigns across all platforms *Manage and guide digital media activities in the continuous evaluation of and improvement upon media performance against BU metrics and business goals *Evaluate quantitative and qualitative data and research (including incrementality) with the DMM and analytics partner and translate it into larger media strategy for optimization *Be responsible for day-to-day support of media agency *Identify and implement ongoing test opportunities and innovation concepts that will work to drive the business forward *Collaborate with UX and Marketing Technology teams to esnure site performance and experience align to media best practices.
What we’re looking for in you:
*Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in marketing, business, advertising or communications *5-7 years of experience in digital media *1-3 years of experience in an agency or medical device company *Strong analytic skills. Ability to leverage data, channels, methods and tactics to impact short term goals. *Deep online marketing analytics capabilities with the ability to derive and present insights from data in a senior leadership setting *Experience utilizing attribution platforms/models to inform media programs *Ability to define A/B and multivariate test scenarios and success metrics *Strong familiarity with media analytics tools and processes *Advanced skills in Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, vlookup, etc.) *Deep understanding around SEO and SEM a must
