A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Human Services or closely related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Two years of experience in the area of communications, marketing and/or event planning. Excellent organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with others. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a highly interactive environment. Demonstrated knowledge of coordinating events. Ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks, and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
Experience in program development and working with boards.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Development, the coordinator will lead the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine parent and alumni programs; work with student, alumni and parent leaders to plan and implement programs. This position will coordinate and facilitate the planning and execution of all School of Medicine sponsored events related to alumni and parents.
