Head of Entertainment and Consumer Public Relations, YouTube
As a member of the Global Communications & Public Affairs team, you will work cross-functionally to help communicate with journalists and other thought leaders; devise specific communications materials and campaigns based on understanding of journalists' interests; engage in face-to-face meetings with commentators and other opinion formers; develop print and web-based material supporting these campaigns; and counter misinformation that might interfere with our business and ability to serve our users. We're looking for great communicators who can understand complex issues and explain them in person and also via well written, simple blog posts, FAQs, video scripts and more.
As the Head of Entertainment and Consumer PR at YouTube, you will seek to build YouTube’s presence in the entertainment industry, including working with trade, business and consumer press to help drive YouTube’s business objectives.
You will need to be a confident senior communicator who can build consensus across YouTube. You have deep and relevant industry expertise, strong reporter relationships, excellent written and communications skills and an ability to learn fast and move faster in an ever-changing environment.

Lead the consumer communications team responsible for proactive campaigns around successful and up-and-coming creators/media partners, big consumer events and initiatives throughout the year as well as finding and celebrating stories of YouTube’s positive impact on creators, the people and the communities using our products.
Lead the team responsible for publicizing YouTube Original Series and Movies to consumers and industry partners, including conceiving strategy for and executing proactive publicity campaigns to drive consumer awareness and industry recognition.
Devise groundbreaking PR strategies to drive YouTube’s entertainment business objectives; this includes managing PR efforts in association with the company’s entertainment subscription services YouTube Red and YouTube TV, including securing press that defines these services in the marketplace.
Own and cultivate partnerships with TV, film, general entertainment and digital reporters, including proactively pitching key media to further entertainment initiatives.
Liaise with senior YouTube executives, production partners and talent on campaign plans and status.
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
15 years of experience leading TV and Film publicity, including experience crafting entertainment award campaigns.
5 years of experience managing internal teams and PR agencies.
Experience influencing, both internally and externally, through relationships, expertise and large group presentations.
Established press contacts with consumer and trade journalists who cover TV and film properties.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, large-company environment while working on multiple high profile campaigns.
Ability to work calmly and maintain good judgment.
