Transportation Electrification Specialist II III (R18-306)In this role, youll facilitate commercial, industrial, municipal, and non-profit customer adoption, procurement, and installation of electric vehicles, electric vehicle charging infrastructure for fleets and workplace. You will be customers trusted energy advisor, using technical skills to support business customers in evaluating opportunities for electrifying fleet vehicles, make recommendations for charging infrastructure sizing and siting, and estimate total cost of ownership. Technical specialty areas include but are not limited to the following energy systems: electric vehicles (cars, buses, light and heavy duty vehicles, bikes, and other electric devices used for mobility), charging stations, charging standards, AC and DC power, power electronics, smart charging, and utility rates. The position will be filled by candidates whose skills best fit the position at either the Specialist II level or Specialist III level.

You will support our journey by:

Providing technical assistance and customer outreach, including:

Providing technical consultation for business customers face to face, in writing and using electronic means:

Clearly communicating program objectives, strategies, intent, and project status.

Influencing customer perception of electricity as transportation fuel.

Anticipating and responding to customer needs and reactions.

Providing guidance and recommendations on vehicle types, charger types, charger siting, utility programs, and incentives.

Calculating and presenting customer value propositions (e.g. total cost of ownership savings, carbon reduction, etc.)

Connecting customers to other relevant programs and offerings that may support their energy goals.

Maintaining knowledge of existing and emerging transportation electrification technologies (vehicles, charging stations, communications technologies, best practices, etc.)

Representing PGE and answer technical questions at customer events (e.g. ride & drive events, auto shows, or other trade events).

Collaborating with other stakeholders on planning transportation electrification training and events (e.g. Ride & Drives) to maximize customer benefit.

Administering customer management tools manage relationships and touchpoints.

Managing Relationships and Contracts, including:

Developing and maintaining relationships with key industry vendors and stakeholders (e.g. dealers, manufacturers, installers, etc.) for various electric vehicle technologies.

Managing vendors and contractors as needed to meet program goals/customer needs.

Developing and Standardizing Outreach Material Processes, including:

Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to develop material to support outreach efforts (e.g. outreach collateral, standard report outs/recommendations, cost of ownership/carbon calculators, etc.)

Developing standards and process for tracking prospective customers and reporting activity to internal stakeholders

Developing and documenting processes and workflows for effective program implementation and customer outreach

Identifying opportunities and recommend solutions for improving operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Facilitating understanding of cross-functional business processes by developing process flow diagrams with subject matter experts.

Preparing reports and assisting in discovery and documentation of user requirements for business systems.

Assisting management with the revision of business policies and practices as appropriate.

You will bring the following skills to our team, at the Specialist III level:

Bachelors or associates degree in business, engineering, or related field plus 3 years of experience in directing or supporting projects, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Intermediate knowledge of electric vehicles and charging infrastructure and experience with transportation electrification and electric vehicle charging installation (or other electrical infrastructure)

Intermediate knowledge of utility rates

Effective oral and written communication skills with technical material in an understandable manner to technical/non-technical audiences and decision-makers.

Intermediate knowledge of business vehicle fleet management

Intermediate knowledge of technical customer sales methods and principles.

Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

Effective knowledge of research, analytical, problem-solving and interpretive skills in technical areas.

Effective persuasion and negotiation skills.

Effective presentation skills.

Excellent project management skills.

Intermediate skills in customer management tools.

Successful candidate will be required to engage a variety of stakeholders and customers. Valid drivers license and a history of safe driving practices

Must be able to report to work and perform work during periods of severe inclement weather, and work variable hours to meet business requirements. At the Specialist IV level, you must meet all of the above, plus::

Bachelors or associates degree in business, engineering, or related field plus 5 years of experience in directing or supporting projects, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
