ERA Real Estate is looking for a Director of Public Relations and Executive Communications
to work in their Madison, NJ headquarters.
Develop and execute public relations programs fully-integrated into brand initiatives to gain positive consumer and industry media coverage for brand leadership, brand campaigns and ERA affiliated brokers and agents.
Play a key part delivering brand videos, sales prospect presentation materials, among other projects.
Drive the editorial calendar and write and manage content for ExploreERA.com and OwningTheFence.com, the brands’ blogs.
Handle affiliate requests and manage internal affiliate newsletters.
Experience working in a complex corporate environment, with the ability to direct multiple tasks under deadline pressure while managing multiple stakeholder expectations.
Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
The ability to interact and influence without authority while working directly with the C-Suite to deliver high-profile executive communications including scripts, speeches and presentations.
Agency management experience combined with strong leadership skills.
A strong understanding of creative and media strategy.
Director of Public Relations and Executive Communication will be responsible for:
Managing PR agency budgets and allocating other resources in support of brand objectives. Writing and managing content and distribution of all news releases or other external messaging and program collateral as needed. Defining qualitative and quantitative goals and objectives for the function.
Directing and coordinating efforts with colleagues in other parts of the organization to drive greater than fair share of media coverage for ERA franchise members, brand leadership and brand initiatives.
Working directly with leadership to ensure flawless execution of all executive corporate communications including, letters, presentation and video scripts, media alerts and news releases.
Operating in a seamless, integrated manner with cross-functional corporate teams including (marketing, advertising, social media, brand communications, events and awards, franchise sales, franchise services, international operations, learning, etc.) to meet their objectives for program promotion.
Building strong, positive relationships with the operations and servicing teams to earn brand coverage at the local level in support of franchise openings, professional recognition, industry events, etc.
Direct strategy for ERA Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives
Owning and managing brand corporate social responsibility relationship.
Social Media: setting strategy, monitoring and reporting on effectiveness in driving brand awareness
Presenting PR and communications best practices to the ERA network
Managing brand’s email platform, utilize tool to create executive and confidential campaigns, and provide oversight into all brand marketing communications and campaigns.
The Director, Public Relations and Executive Communication is also responsible for preparing brand spokespeople for media interviews with national, regional and local media outlets. In addition, the role must provide added-value to ERA Affiliates by creating strategy and delivering information (e.g., ExploreERA.com & OwningtheFence.com) that empower ERA sales professionals to fully leverage the power of publicity to promote their personal brand and expertise through earned media in their local markets.
Your background includes:
Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or related field
7-10 years’ experience in Public Relations, Corporate Communications with emphasis on speech writing
Experience in developing PR of marketing, and advertising campaigns including social media
Demonstrated success in measuring effectiveness of PR campaigns.
Project management skills
Experience in leading cross functional teams, monitoring results, making modifications, etc.
Ability to leverage industry news and trends as content for compelling messages
Proficient in WordPress or similar blogging platforms
Familiar with digital marketing strategies and content strategies, such as SEO
Experience managing budgets a plus
Real estate or franchise experience a plus
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
