This position requires a BA degree. Salary range is $30,000- $35,000 dependent on education and experience. Job Objective:
To actively provide positive youth development programming to high school students of color who identify within the LGBTQI spectrum of identities through school and agency based programming. Direct Service
•Develop collaborative relationships with MNPS administration within target high schools to conduct positive youth development programming informed by youth voice and delivered during regularly scheduled school hours.
•Conduct ancillary programming within **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. to directly engage LGBTQI young people of color to gain greater understanding of the needs of this population related to their physical, mental, and social emotional health.
•Connect young people to agency and community resources with regards to their physical health, with special focus on HIV related services.
•Develop relationships with Davidson County HIV/AIDS service organizations to ensure the most appropriate connections are made for young people in need of services.
•Develop and initiate one on one and/or group peer interventions for HIV positive youth to increase engagement and adherence to HIV medical treatment services.
•Document client interaction in a consistent and ethical manner.
•Transport clients as needed.
•Coordinate data, including relevant reports to meet funding and licensing requirements and agency administrative needs.
•Document interaction with youth in a timely, consistent and ethical manner
•Assist in the preparation for monitoring visits by funding and licensing sources.
•Participate in staff and program development.
•Serve on intra-agency committees when requested or representation is significant to the agency mission.
