Position Summary Information
This position performs a variety of administrative functions to support the Campus and Community Relations Specialist where needed.
Hours are Monday - Friday, 9am - 2pm. May have to work occasional weekends or evening events.
Duties and Responsibilities
*Assist with Achieving The Dream (
*Create basic marketing materials;
*Maintain campus newsletter;
*Assist with planning and coordinating campus and community events;
*Provide social media assistance;
*Assist with various campus committees;
*Prepare expense reports;
*Other administrative duties as needed.
*High school diploma or equivalent;
*Considerable experience working in an office administrative role;
*Experience using social media and blogs;
*Experience using Microsoft Office Suite;
*Experience with mail merge applications.
*Bachelor's degree in public relations, business, hospitality, graphic arts, communications.
*Event planning experience a plus.
*Spanish fluency a plus.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
*Skilled at taking initiative;
*Outstanding written and verbal communication skills;
*Strong interpersonal skills - able to interact with a variety of individuals at various professional levels;
*Skilled at creating promotional flyers & brochures using Adobe software and other publication software (example Photoshop, Elements, etc.);
*Skilled at creating databases using Excel;
*Ability to complete and submit expense reports in a timely manner;
*Excellent customer service skills and a high degree of professionalism;
*Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage several projects in a fast paced environment;
*Ability to work in groups or independently.
