The will help spearhead public relations strategies and programs for Informatica\u2019s products and solutions as a member of the Public relations team. This person has a broad net of media contacts, is a strategic thinker and is a trusted partner and counselor to various internal groups within the company. Reporting to the senior director of Public Relations, Public Relations Managers are responsible for collaborating with product marketing and PR team members to craft a story, make strategic recommendations and deliver programs that help Informatica reach its business goals. Public Relations Managers have a command of thought leadership, content marketing and media relations strategy and execution. They use these skills to identify opportunities and build programs with impact. This role works autonomously but at the same time is a champion team member that leads by example and promotes a positive work environment. Responsibilities : \u2022 Develop and manage public relations programs that cover all phases of product publicity and reach trade, technology and mainstream print, online and broadcast media \u2022 Maintain extensive network of print, online and broadcast mainstream and enthusiast media contacts \u2022 Work with product marketing and other teams to develop press materials including press releases, fact sheets, pitch letters, Q&As, media alerts, speaking points and presentations \u2022 Respond to media inquiries in a timely and professional manner, know how to craft an appropriate comment and where to go internally to find the best answers \u2022 Manage product launches, media events, and press tours; staff press meetings and media interviews \u2022 Work closely with internal marketing and Informatica PR agencies in the US and internationally to identify relevant and timely product news and to develop positioning, messages, timelines, story pitches and deliverables schedules \u2022 Work with Informatica PR agencies to deliver concise, timely and informative reporting on press activities, coverage, opportunities, successes and press feedback to internal constituents. Provide post-mortem analysis \u2022 Build, maintain and draw upon extensive knowledge of the enterprise cloud data management market, as well as Informatica\u2019s strategic objectives, products, production methods, corporate issues and business units in order to advise and influence key internal decision-makers on media matters \u2022 Foster close working relationship with members of Informatica\u2019s corporate communications product marketing, digital marketing and other departments to ensure a consistent flow of information and ideas, as well as the synthesis of timing, messages, and activities \u2022 Manage expenses to ensure budgets remain within desired projections. \u2022 Assist in overseeing multi-product media events for public relations team \u2022 Provide media training and coaching to development team spokespeople \u2022 Interface with executive management on product campaigns Qualifications 5-7 years public relations work experience.\u00a0 3-5 years Public relations agency experience preferred, by not mandatory.\u00a0 Bachelor\u2019s or advanced degree in journalism, English or communications preferred but not mandatory.\u00a0 Expertise\/knowledge of Data Management industry preferred.\u00a0 Excellent oral and written communication skills combined with the ability to spot and develop compelling story ideas.\u00a0 Strong ability to prioritize between numerous high-profile projects and responsibilities; solid organizational and budget management skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse personalities in a rapidly changing environment.\u00a0 Demonstrated experience independently conceptualizing, building and executing public relations campaigns that align with business objectives and produce significant results Ability to question, challenge and suggest alternative approaches to internal and external audiences in a diplomatic manner. Experience managing expectations of demanding internal clients. Ability to make decisions, organize thoughts, and engage in creative thinking in the face of time constraints and full workload. Knowledge and understanding of monitoring services, media directories, newswires and other traditional public relations techniques. Collaborative, team-oriented approach to achieving results.
