Job Description

Position Summary: The Marketing Technology Coordinator supports the business development and marketing goals of the firm by maintaining and improving the technology tools used by the Business Development and Marketing Department, including the website, social media programs, blogs, email marketing, and CRM. This position is responsible for website content updates, social media postings, calendars and training, blog development and postings, email campaigns, and subscriber list management. Accordingly, the coordinator will possess analytical, marketing, and technical skills coupled with a client-focused approach. This role requires a strong team player who can manage competing priorities and adhere to the highest levels of quality standards and operational procedures. Position Responsibilities: • Social Media: o Develop and share all social media posts in accordance with the social media strategy and posting guidelines. o Have practice understanding of social media schedulers, specifically Sprout Social. o Develop social media editorial campaign calendars with our Marketing Communications team, Lawyers of Color Resource Group, Women’s Initiative, LGBTQ Resource Group, Inclusion & Diversity Committee, practice groups, and other teams/committees within the firm. o Host training sessions for attorneys regarding managing their online reputation, specifically for LinkedIn, but not excluding other professional social media questions and requests. o Maintain social media photography and video library, upload video to appropriate hosting channels such as Vimeo, and seek appropriate approvals/permission requests for photography usage. o Provide reporting on social media campaigns and other monthly/yearly analytics. • Website, Email and Digital Marketing: o Assist with the development and implementation of marketing technology tools such as the website, blogs, social media and other marketing automation systems, including design, testing, execution, maintenance, and integration of the tools. o Post all content edits to the website content management system and proposal system including attorney biographies, practice descriptions, events, blog posts, alerts, and other miscellaneous content. o Distribute email campaigns, test email deliverability, and measure and report on email campaign results as compared to baselines and benchmarks. o Work to improve SEO and SEM, and generate reports on website analytics and the effectiveness of other marketing technology initiatives such as social media and re-publishing platforms. o Assist in the creation, testing, and distribution of client alerts, new partners announcements and notable firm accolades using the firm’s email marketing tool, Vuture. o Maintain and update social media channels in accordance with the firm’s social media strategy and posting guidelines. o Process updates from a variety of sources including the business development and marketing team, attorneys, legal assistants, human resources, and other departments o Provide reporting on email campaigns and website analytics on monthly/yearly reports • Blogs: o Communicate with the blog editors as the main point of contact to coordinate the development, proofreading, publishing, and distribution of blog posts for the firm’s multiple blog sites. o Work with practice areas when developing the strategy for new blogs, including the editorial calendar (or authorship responsibilities), website design template and content, email campaign testing, digital and social media collateral, print collateral, launch plan, etc. o Provide reporting for each blog on quarterly/yearly analytics or upon request. • Other: o Serve as the backup to the Marketing Technology Coordinator – CRM and will perform data maintenance and subscriber list curation as needed. o Assist with the maintenance of data-related policies and procedures in the form of quick reference guides, online help, and knowledge-based documentation. o Serve as technical support for the firm's marketing technology tools and work with vendors to troubleshoot. o Manage attorney photography for the firm intranet and Outlook headshots. o Publish internal content to the firm’s intranet site. o Act as a back-up to Marketing Technology and Digital Strategist and other Marketing Technology team members. o Assist with special projects. o Accept and perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Responsibilities and Duties

Position Requirements and Desired Skills: • An undergraduate degree with two to three years of relevant work experience preferred. • A background in business, marketing or equivalent experience is desirable. Experience working in a professional services environment or law firm is a plus. • Strong background in websites, blogs, social media, email marketing tools, and analytics. • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, HTML, CMS tools, WordPress, CSS and WYSIWG editor, Sprout Social, and Google/web analytics required. • Strong experience dealing with content management and database management systems, updating web content, and developing system updates (WordPress experience preferred). • Intermediate HTML skills and power user in Excel. • Proficiency with some or all of the following applications a plus: SharePoint, Flash, Dreamweaver, Camtasia, video editing tools, SnagIt, Prezi, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite. • Familiarity with spam/email blockers; deliverability testing and troubleshooting tools; SEO concepts and techniques; email campaign procedures and best practices; CAN-SPAM,CASL and GDPR regulations; knowledge of or willingness to learn about state and local bar association rules regarding communications with clients and non-clients. • Strong understanding of website and email marketing best practices. • Demonstrated knowledge of social media platforms (including LinkedIn company pages, Twitter, YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, Instagram, etc.). • Knowledge of CRM concepts such as the Data Change and Marketing Automation systems required. • Excellent proofreading skills with outstanding attention to detail. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong client service orientation (both internal and external). • Demonstrated organizational skills. • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and complete them under time constraints. • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. • Various physical activity may be required.
