Provide strategic direction for the Design Institute for Health and the Dell Medical School with focus on expanding brand and marketing strategies and the Institute's growth needs in relation to mission aligned internal and external partner engagements.
Expand the Design Institute's new messaging / identity assets and brand strategy to its three internal domain / service areas in order to realize revenue targets and deliver the highest quality work. Collaborate with other departments within the Dell Medical School in the creation of assets that demonstrate delivery on its mission, and help shepherd those assets to public consumption, events, etc. Leverage extensive professional network to identify new partners and participate in business / partner development initiatives to land new engagements and meet the Design Institute's revenue targets. Serve in Design Institute strategic roles for critical internal long-term Dell Medical School engagements such as See Dell Med. Develop a publishing and public speaking pipeline for the Design Institute and shepherd leading thought content to market. Build strategic campaigns and content for multiple engagements conducted by the Design Institute with external partners. Create and deliver communication assets as required for Design Institute partner engagements. Leverage social media platforms to integrate Design Institute and partner missions. Serve in Design Institute strategic roles for billable external long-term Dell Medical School engagements such as Brain Health Execute on strategic direction and deliver high-quality brand and marketing content. Express strategic findings into both a messaging platform and identity system. Grow the brand and marketing acumen of the DIH and Dell Medical School entities and the faculty and staff that make them up. Develop relationships with key stakeholders throughout the health ecosystem and act as a trusted advisor to them. Help mentor them on methods and techniques, and keep up to date on relevant trends, analytics and discussions.

Master's degree in business, marketing, communications, sociology, psychology, anthropology, design, or related degree. 10 or more years of experience in a professional brand and marketing role both contributing and leading engagements and people. Previous brand and marketing experience in health environments. Demonstrated ability to exercise resourcefulness and good judgment in a fast-paced environment. Ability to manage multiple streams of work. Detail-oriented. Excellent communication and presentation skills. A detailed portfolio will be required upon application. More than 10 years of experience in a professional brand and marketing role. Austin brand and marketing agency experience. Deep understanding of the Central Texas private and public sector business landscape. Experience working with human-centered design firms.

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas ( TRS ), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length. This position has the option to elect the Optional Retirement Program ( ORP ) instead of TRS , subject to the position being 40 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
